About the Opportunity Guardian is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Kitchen Fire Suppression & Fire Extinguisher Technician to join our growing team out of our Elite Fire Services office location in Blanchester, OH. This role is responsible for inspecting, servicing, installing, and maintaining commercial kitchen fire suppression systems and portable fire extinguishers in accordance with industry standards and safety regulations. The ideal candidate will have experience in fire protection services or a mechanical/technical background and be comfortable working in commercial kitchens, restaurants, and other business environments. Key Responsibilities • Inspect, service, and maintain commercial kitchen fire suppression systems., • Perform inspections, testing, maintenance, and recharging of portable fire extinguishers., • Install new fire suppression systems and fire extinguishers when required., • Ensure compliance with NFPA codes and local fire regulations., • Maintain accurate service reports and inspection documentation., • Diagnose and repair system deficiencies., • Communicate with customers regarding system condition, repairs, and compliance requirements., • Maintain service vehicle, tools, and equipment., • Experience with kitchen fire suppression systems and fire extinguishers preferred (Ansul, Pyro-Chem, etc.)., • Knowledge of NFPA 10 and NFPA 17A standards is a plus., • Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills., • Valid driver's license with clean driving record., • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on ladders., • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills., • Ohio State Kitchen Suppression System Certification (preferred but not required), • Competitive hourly pay based on experience, • Paid training and certification opportunities, • Paid time off and holidays, • Quarterly bonuses, • 401K with a company match, • Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance, • Company paid Short Term Disability, • Company paid Long Term Disability, • Company paid Life and AD&D insurance, • Pre-tax accounts for health and dependent care, • Aflac, • Vacation and Personal time, • Paid holidays, • Tuition Reimbursement This link leads to the machine-readable files that are made available in response to the federal Transparency in Coverage Rule and includes negotiated service rates and out-of-network allowed amounts between health plans and healthcare providers.
