MetTel is looking for a Technical Support - Wireless to join our growing team! ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The Technical Support engineer is responsible for the support and remedy of new device certification, ongoing device testing processes, client set up or vendor issues and supporting documentation. Wireless devices with a specific concentration on cellular device certification is required for this role. • Remedy client and vendor issues, • Troubleshooting device carrier network issues, • Certify devices across the component lifecycle (SIM, profile, device, firmware, carrier matrix), • Tier 1 Support of sales engineering with design, solution implementation and documentation, • Have a minimum 3 years of experience in cellular network core architecture and design., • Linux/Unix, • Above average 2G/3G/4G/5G Networking, • Understanding of IT policies, architecture, Active Directory, • Modem AT commands knowledge and 3GPP guidelines, • Familiarity with IOT design and troubleshooting, • Familiarity with Samsung Knox, AirWatch MDM, Intune, CyberReef, etc., • Knowledgeable and ability to read JSON, XML, Python, BASH and PowerShell, GitHub, etc., • Strong deductive reason skills with meticulous attention to detail, • Logic-minded, • Passion for solving puzzles, • Critical thinking, • Ability to work within a complex, multi-vendor team, • CCNA preferred, • Linux+ preferred MetTel is an Equal Opportunity Employer and considers applicants for all positions without regard to race, color, religion or belief, sex, age, national origin, citizenship status, marital status, military/veteran status, genetic information, sexual orientation, gender identity, physical or mental disability or any other characteristic protected by applicable laws.
