Job Description Duration: 3+ months Temp to Hire Position Summary We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Delivery Driver / Warehouse Associate to transport products safely and efficiently to customer locations while also supporting daily warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have a valid Class A or Class B CDL with a Hazmat endorsement, strong customer service skills, and the ability to assist with warehouse duties when not making deliveries. Key Responsibilities • Safely transport products from the branch to customer locations, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries., • Operate commercial vehicles, including box trucks and flatbed trucks, as assigned., • Load and unload products safely and verify items against delivery paperwork., • Secure all products properly for transportation., • Provide professional and courteous customer service during deliveries., • Answer customer questions and address delivery-related concerns appropriately., • Maintain accurate delivery records, including delivery notes, customer signatures, and required documentation., • Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any maintenance or safety issues., • Maintain the cleanliness and proper condition of delivery vehicles., • Follow all DOT, CDL, traffic, and company safety regulations., • Assist with warehouse operations when not driving, including:, • Pulling customer orders, • Picking and packing products, • Wrapping pallets, • Loading and unloading trucks, • Receiving and stocking products, • Inventory-related activities, • General warehouse maintenance, • Ensure order accuracy and proper handling of products., • Perform other branch support duties as assigned. Schedule & Travel Requirements • Typical start time for Panhandle deliveries: 5:30–6:00 AM, • Approximately one Panhandle trip per week, with the possibility of two trips per week., • Panhandle delivery route is expected to end October 1st., • Following the end of the Panhandle route, deliveries will primarily be made to golf courses., • Regular schedule when not making Panhandle deliveries: approximately 7:00 AM–4:00 PM., • Hours may vary depending on delivery schedules and business needs., • Occasional overtime may be required. Required Qualifications • Valid Class A or Class B CDL., • Hazmat endorsement required., • Previous warehouse experience preferred., • Previous commercial delivery/driving experience is a plus., • Experience operating box trucks, vans, flatbeds, or similar commercial vehicles is preferred., • Strong customer service and communication skills., • Ability to maintain a professional and positive attitude when interacting with customers., • Ability to regularly lift and move items weighing up to 50 lbs., • Ability and willingness to perform both driving and warehouse duties., • Knowledge of safe loading, unloading, and load-securement practices., • Ability to follow DOT, CDL, traffic, and company safety requirements., • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
