The Production & RMA Clerk supports daily production operations and manages the Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) process. This role is responsible for tracking returned products, coordinating repairs or replacements, maintaining accurate inventory records, and assisting with light production and assembly tasks. This position works directly on the production floor handling assembly, packaging, and shipping, while also managing returned products (RMAs). The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and requires physical work, attention to detail, and the ability to keep accurate records in a fast-paced manufacturing and warehouse environment. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Production & Warehouse Work • Perform hands-on assembly, sub-assembly, and kitting of manufactured products according to work instructions and production schedules, • Label, package, and prepare finished goods for shipment, ensuring accuracy and proper handling, • Operate basic warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, carts, and hand tools, • Move raw materials, components, and finished products throughout the warehouse and production floor, • Stage materials for production runs and shipping orders, • Perform visual inspections and basic quality checks to identify defects, damage, or missing components, • Rework or repackage products as needed to meet quality and shipping standards, • Assist with loading and unloading incoming and outgoing shipments, • Maintain organization of workstations, shelves, and staging areas, • Participate in cycle counts and physical inventory audits, • Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and manufacturing SOPs, • Immediately report safety concerns, damaged materials, or production issues to the supervisor, • Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying inefficiencies or process issues RMA & Returns Processing • Receive, unload, and verify returned products against RMA documentation and packing lists, • Inspect returned items for damage, defects, wear, or missing components, • Record serial numbers, quantities, and condition of returned products accurately, • Enter and update RMA information in inventory or ERP systems, • Sort returned products into designated areas for repair, replacement, refurbishment, restock, or scrap, • Coordinate with production, quality, and customer service teams regarding RMA status and disposition, • Prepare returned products for repair, testing, or rework as directed, • Ensure all RMA activity is completed within required timelines, • Maintain organized and clearly labeled RMA areas to prevent inventory errors, • Follow company procedures for handling defective, damaged, or non-conforming materials, • Assist with documentation needed for credits, replacements, or warranty claims, • Support audits by maintaining accurate RMA records and traceability General Warehouse Support • Stocks & maintains a secure, orderly, cost-effective warehouse under guidance of Warehouse manager and leadership team, • Manages inventory levels to ensure crews have material to meet installation needs, maintaining cycle count accuracy, • Loads & unloads trucks/vehicles both mechanically with a forklift & manually, if required, • Oversees receiving and verifies freight against receiving documentation, noting discrepancies and/or damage and report findings, • Manages auditable records including but not limited to packing slips, pick lists, Inventory System Journal Entries, job close-out paperwork, warehouse safety audits, etc., ensuring documents are easily retrievable on demand, • Maintains a clean, safe, & orderly workplace, free of obstructions & hazards., • Ensures the security and proper management of the warehouse equipment and materials received and stored, • Schedules maintenance for install and audit vehicles, as needed, • Responsible for inventory control procedures, • Responsible for following all handling and storage plans and procedures, • Maintains complete and accurate safety & hazmat records and complies with all appropriate standards, • Maintain maintenance compliance for forklifts and moving equipment for proper functioning and maintenance, • Reviews and approves all related appropriate departmental vendor invoices for accuracy and compliance, • Other duties as assigned. Understands and demonstrates ThinkGrow's Core Values., • Performs other duties as assigned In addition to these duties the candidate will possess the following abilities: • Experience processing RMAs, returns, or warranty products in a manufacturing environment, • Familiarity with Fishbowl, inventory, or warehouse management systems is highly desired, • Experience with light manufacturing, assembly lines, or kitting operations, • Forklift, pallet jack, or warehouse equipment experience. Certification a plus but not required, • Basic quality control or inspection experience, • Experience working in a fast-paced or high-volume production setting, • Mechanical aptitude or experience handling technical products, • Bilingual - English/Chinese a plus WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS • High school diploma or equivalent, • Prior experience working in a manufacturing, warehouse, or production environment, • Ability to perform physical work, including lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 50100 lbs, • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods, • Basic computer and data entry skills for inventory and RMA tracking, • Ability to read, understand, and follow written work instructions, SOPs, and safety guidelines, • Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling products and documentation, • Reliable attendance and punctuality
