Job Description Andrews, Crabtree, Knox & Longfellow, LLP, a longstanding AV-rated insurance defense litigation firm located in Tallahassee, Florida is looking to hire an experienced full-time Paralegal with at least 2 years of experience handling general liability, automobile, and premises liability litigation matters. The position will require experience reviewing medical records; creating detailed medical chronologies; preparing, responding to, and tracking discovery requests; summarizing discovery responses, medical bills and deposition transcripts; communicating with clients; using state and federal court electronic filing systems; maintenance of paper and electronic files; using Microsoft Office; and assisting in trial preparation. The candidate should be organized, attentive to detail, focused, able to multi-task, and work well with others on various projects. Please submit a copy of your cover letter and resume. Responsibilities • Collect, examine, and organize files and other legal documents for attorney review and case preparation, • Draft and proofread correspondence and legal documents, such as pleadings and contracts, • Communicate with clients and witnesses to schedule meetings, interviews, and depositions, • Manage, organize, and maintain documents in paper or electronic filing systems, • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required, • Associate's degree in paralegal studies, a paralegal certificate, or a Bachelor's degree preferred, • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a legal assistant, legal secretary, or paralegal, • Detail-oriented and highly organized, • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and professional demeanor, • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, • Ability to work independently, manage large workloads, and keep deadlinesCompany DescriptionThe law firm of Andrews, Crabtree, Knox & Longfellow, LLP, began in March 2000.
