The Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) will work independently to administer radioligand therapy in a private outpatient setting. This role does not currently involve diagnostic imaging equipment. Clinical protocols are established and followed under the direction of a physician. Responsibilities: • Administer radiopharmaceuticals intravenously in accordance with physician directives for therapeutic purposes., • Monitor and record radiation dosages administered and maintain accurate documentation of use and disposal., • Prepare and handle radiopharmaceuticals, adhering strictly to safety protocols to minimize radiation exposure., • Explain test procedures and safety protocols to patients; provide support throughout the treatment., • Perform quality control tests and routine calibration of nuclear medicine equipment., • Maintain secure storage and disposal of radioactive materials in accordance with regulatory guidelines., • Collect and review patient medical histories to inform diagnostic or therapeutic decisions., • Supervise and train students or junior staff when applicable., • Collaborate with physicians to review and refine nuclear medicine protocols., • Complete administrative tasks including documentation, scanning, emailing, and video conferencing as needed. Qualifications: • Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) required., • Current state licensure (as applicable)., • BLS certification required., • Minimum 1 year of experience in a nuclear medicine clinical setting preferred., • Experience in outpatient or independent practice settings is a plus. Key Competencies: • Proficient in placing intravenous (IV) lines for radiopharmaceutical or therapy administration., • Comprehensive understanding of nuclear medicine procedures and radiopharmaceutical handling., • Strong knowledge of radiation safety protocols and regulatory compliance., • Excellent verbal communication skills with patients, families, and clinical staff., • Attention to detail in documenting dosages, patient data, and procedural notes., • Ability to operate and maintain nuclear medicine equipment., • Competent in basic computer applications and electronic medical record systems., • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
