Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry, • Discipline: RN, • Start Date: 07/20/2026, • Duration: 12 weeks, • 36 hours per week, • Shift: 12 hours, nights, • Employment Type: Travel 🩺 Registered Nurse – Med Surg/Tele (Medical-Surgical/Telemetry) 📍 Greensboro, NC ⏳ 13 Weeks Contract (Extension Possible) 🚀 Start: 07/20/2025 Shift: Night – 3x12 Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) • Every Other Weekend (EOW) required, • Holiday coverage required as needed, • Floating required, • EPIC documentation system utilized 🏥 Unit Details: • Medical-Surgical Unit with Telemetry capability, • Primary patient population consists of Medical-Surgical patients with telemetry monitoring as needed Patient Population: \t • Adult Medical-Surgical patients\t, • Observation patients\t, • Respiratory conditions\t, • Diabetes (new diagnoses and complications)\t, • Surgical and post-operative patients\t, • Surgical observation\t, • Palliative care\t, • End-of-life and Hospice patients\t, • Psychiatric observation patients📋 Requirements:, • Active RN License, • Minimum 2 years of RN Medical-Surgical experience required, • BLS Certification required, • Successful completion of required EKG exam during onboarding ⭐ Preferred: • Previous Charge Nurse experience, • First-time travelers welcome 🩺 Required Skills: • Medical-Surgical nursing experience, • Telemetry monitoring and EKG interpretation, • IV starts and IV management, • Patient assessment and monitoring, • Medication administration and safety practices, • Respiratory care, • Diabetes management, • Post-operative patient care, • Observation nursing, • Palliative and Hospice care, • Multidisciplinary patient care coordination 🩺 Responsibilities: • Provide comprehensive care to Medical-Surgical patients with telemetry monitoring as needed, • Monitor and assess patient conditions, • Interpret telemetry and EKG findings appropriately, • Perform IV starts and maintain vascular access, • Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately, • Care for medical, surgical, respiratory, diabetic, palliative, and observation patients, • Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC, • Float to all Cone Health facilities as required to meet staffing needs, • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams, • Deliver safe, high-quality patient-centered care HonorVet Technologies Job ID #32521734.
