This is an excellent opportunity for experienced travel nurses seeking North Carolina nursing jobs in a supportive and innovative clinical environment.\n \n\nPCU Registered Nurse Job Details\n\n • Location: Greensboro, NC 27401 (North Carolina healthcare job)\n, • Unit: 3 West Neuro Progressive Care (Medical Neuroscience PCU)\n, • Contract Length: 13 weeks\n, • Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (7:00pm - 7:00am)\n, • Hours per Week: 36\n, • Estimated Weekly Salary: $1820-$1870\n, • Start Date: January 6, 2026\n, • End Date: April 7, 2026\n, • Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse Contract\n, • Patient Population: Adults, 30-bed unit\n, • Scheduling: Self-scheduling in 6-week periods\n, • Holiday Coverage: One holiday and one holiday eve required during contract\n, • Float: May be required to float to other Cone Health campuses\n\n\nPCU Registered Nurse Qualifications\n\n, • Minimum 2 years of recent Neuro Progressive Care Unit (PCU) RN experience required\n, • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (North Carolina or compact state, must be in hand at submission)\n, • BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required\n, • EPIC electronic medical record/charting experience required\n, • Ability to pass EKG exam during compliance (2 attempts allowed)\n, • COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)\n, • Previous Charge RN experience preferred\n, • Experience with CVA, External CPAP/BiPAP, TR band, Yale Swallowing Screen\n, • Flexible with scheduling and able to meet compliance deadlines\n, • No local candidates within 50 miles (travel nursing requirement)\n\n\nPCU Registered Nurse Responsibilities\n\n, • Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult neurological patients in a progressive care (PCU) setting\n, • Monitor and manage patients with stroke, seizure disorders, traumatic brain injury, and movement disorders\n, • Perform specialized neuro assessments and interventions, including Yale Swallowing Screen and TR band management\n, • Manage central and peripheral lines, cardiac drips (no titration), and non-invasive airway support (CPAP/BiPAP)\n, • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams: IV, PT, RT, pharmacy, and rapid response\n, • Float to other units as needed to support patient care across Cone Health campuses\n, • Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC EMR\n, • Participate in orientation and required onboarding modules\n We believe in empowering your career.
