Albuquerque offers a vibrant Southwestern culture, breathtaking mountain views, and a supportive community—ideal for travel nurses seeking adventure and professional growth in New Mexico healthcare jobs. • Location: Albuquerque, NM 87106, • Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1890–$1940, • Facility Type: Level I Trauma Center, Children's Hospital, Teaching Facility, • Contract Length: 13 weeks (Start: 1/12/2026 – End: 4/13/2026), • Shifts: 3x12-hour days (07:00 – 19:30); rotating shifts within a 4-week schedule, • Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week, • Patient Ratio: 1:2, • Weekend Requirement: 4 weekend shifts per schedule for day shift; 4–5 for night shift (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights), • Orientation: 36 hours, • EMR: Cerner, • Scrub Color: Black, • Parking: Free on-site, • Active NM RN license (pending license accepted at submission), • Minimum 1.5 years of recent PICU RN experience (within the last 2 years), • Experience in a Level I Trauma facility with strong trauma nursing skills, • BLS and PALS certifications (American Heart Association; RQI not accepted), • COVID-19 and flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions accepted with documentation), • Experience with CRRT, ECMO, ventilators, and inotropic drips preferred, • Willingness to float to NICU and assist in Pediatric Emergency Department (Peds ED) as a resource, • Must reside at least 75 miles from facility (no local candidates), • Personal transportation required, • Deliver high-quality, family-centered care to critically ill pediatric patients in the PICU, • Manage complex diagnoses including respiratory distress/failure, renal failure, trauma, multi-system organ failure, CRRT, ECMO, heme/onc, and suicide attempts, • Monitor and manage advanced equipment: ventilators, EVDs, HFNC, ICP monitoring, IV vasopressors, • Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams: physical therapy, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, social services, and rapid response, • Float to NICU as needed and provide resource support in Pediatric ED (IV starts, medication administration, etc.), • Maintain accurate documentation using Cerner EMR We believe in empowering your career.
