Job Description Being an Assistant Manager at a SONIC Drive-In restaurant is the cherry on top of a Strawberry Banana Split Molten Cake Sundae. You’ll assist the drive-in restaurant’s General Manager in managing drive-in operations. You will also be involved in training and supporting other employees to ensure we provide quality food in a clean, safe and efficient manner. We want every guest to have an enjoyable dining experience every time they come to SONIC. Restaurant Assistant Manager is generally offered as full time or part time restaurant job. Prior experience as restaurant assistant manager, general manager, supervisor, shift lead, crew lead, team lead is highly desirable. Requirements/Responsibilities Essential Duties: • Manages, trains, monitors and coaches Team / Crew Members, Carhops and Skating Carhops, • Directs and assigns drive-in restaurant employees as needed to ensure all aspects of food service meet operational standards, • Adheres to and monitors employee compliance of the drive-in restaurant employee handbook, policies and practices, • Performs restaurant opening and/or closing duties, • Monitors and makes appropriate adjustments to staffing levels, inventory levels and food cost control, • Completes weekly inventory as needed, • Assists in administrative duties including maintaining files, records and all required documentation, • Reinforces a customer service mentality and ensures all employees are focused on serving the customer at all times., • Immediately and respectfully responds to guest requests. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Develop ongoing periodic and ad hoc reports and analyses supporting Sales and Strategic Operations teams, • Work with corporate and regional leadership and accounting teams to drive strong financial and operational performance, investigate issues, identify opportunities, and develop sales team goals, metrics, and accountability, • Present financials and corresponding operational details to senior leadership team monthly and as needed, • Work with other Finance and Accounting personnel to develop best practices and recommendations for process improvement and data integrity, • Serve as a liaison to newly acquired entities to facilitate the integration of data into consolidated reporting, • Assist with the development of annual plans, financial analysis, and modeling, participating in strategy development, policies, procedures, and monitoring results, • Ad hoc reporting and analysis or other duties as needed by the organization assigned by the Chief Financial Officer / executive team QUALIFICATIONS: • High school diploma or equivalent, • A minimum of three (3) years of business finance or related experience in a quantitatively heavy role, • Cloud-based SAP Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) experience, • Excellent Office 365 products skills, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, • Ability to handle pressure with a professional customer service-oriented approach, • Strong organizational skills and detail oriented, • Demonstrated ability to take initiative, successfully handle and prioritize multiple competing assignments and effectively manage competing deadlines, • Professional, articulate, and able to use excellent independent judgment and discretion, • College degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field, • SalesForce.com and WeSuite experience, • Medical, dental, vision, retirement plan, basic life, AD&D, and disability insurance, • Eight paid holidays annually, five sick days, and four personal days, • Vacation time is offered at an accrual rate of 3.08 hours biweekly.
