About You The Corporate Marketing team comprised of Sales Planning, Marketing, Advertising, and E-Commerce is responsible for all consumer‑facing marketing vehicles, including the weekly circular and all corporate themes communicated to customers. These themes include, but are not limited to, weekly ad and corporate events. The Sales Planning Specialist is responsible for reinforcing our sales strategies, managing promotional plans, elevating our weekly storytelling, coordinating marketing initiatives, and ensuring the successful execution of featured programs in the circular. As the circular remains our primary weekly communications vehicle, this role ensures its themes, messages, and offers are carried consistently throughout. This position partners closely with Sales Planning, Advertising, and Divisions to execute corporate events and promotions in print and bring them to life in stores through coordinated circular space. The goal is simple: tell one cohesive story to the customer before they shop and while they shop. This role provides an opportunity to interact across the entire co‑op, supporting stores, product divisions, and the Corporate Marketing Team while ensuring accuracy, consistency, and supporting cross-functional teams in driving revenue growth across product divisional categories. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly analytical, and adept at managing multiple projects in a fast-paced retail environment. Core Functions • Support the layout and execution of The Fresh Grocer weekly front-page circular., • Ensure circular and front-page guidelines are executed consistently across divisions for weekly distributed circulars., • Serve as a key partner in connecting circular strategy and storytelling to in-store execution in support of a seamless customer experience., • Ensure the corporate themes, inserts, and other circular content are implemented by collaborating with divisional partners and marketing teams., • Support cross-functional alignment of promotional campaigns with sales objectives and business priorities., • Manage planning tools and item selection processes used to support front-page development and promotional execution., • Attend committee meetings, document discussion points, and communicate relevant updates to membership and staff., • Compile and organize continuity program details and digital promotional information to support transparency and alignment across divisional partners., • Provide support for promotional campaigns, including preparation of weekly spend reports, tracking participating items, and coordinating circular page layout for program visibility., • Prepare and distribute weekly competitive ad recap communications for membership and executive leadership to support pricing and promotional positioning decisions., • Ensure promotional materials align with brand standards and maintain a consistent visual identity., • Support circular and corporate page layout processes, including item selection, promotional placement, and execution of weekly circular themes., • Maintain accuracy of weekly divisional advertising status and monitor timely submission of ad materials., • Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities that support promotional effectiveness and sales growth., • Monitor promotional elements such as digital coupons, must-buy offers, images, headers, and footers to ensure execution accuracy., • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support selling initiatives, campaign alignment, and ongoing review of promotional strategies., • Programs Utilized SAP for Pricing management and visibility and also Soft proof Manger/QUAD/SPM- Proofing ads and ad tags for the different zones. Additional Functions Data Management & Reporting • Pull UPCs for performance reporting, analytics, and strategic initiatives, • Monitor and approve divisional SAP promotional offers in corporate merchandising review status to ensure accuracy, • Pull and analyze weekly competitive Ads to support strategic planning and promotional decision‑making, • Support and help execute aspects of the Promotions, Marketing & Storytelling Blueprint for Growth Pillar, • Utilize the Business at a Glance event‑tagging and change‑management tool to ensure sale weeks are accurately aligned with the corporate promotional calendar, • Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth, • Provide back‑up support to the Marketing Specialist during PTO and peak periods Knowledge and Skill Requirements • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, • Bachelor’s degree required, • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office Suite, • Previous experience with building and pulling offers in SAP, • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced corporate retail environment, • Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate, high-quality work, • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, • Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with associates at all levels, • Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities, • Experience presenting to management and membership, • Background in marketing, retail operations, or procurement a plus, • Ability to meet all internal posting eligibility requirements, • Ability to work collaboratively across the organization among various job functions, • Proven experience in sales planning, analysis, or a similar role, • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools, • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software Physical Demands and Work Environment • Ability to sit/stand in front of a computer for long periods of time., • Ability to participate in retail store visits, • Ability to travel as required Compensation and Benefits The salary range for this position is $60,000 — $80,000 annually. Placement in the range depends on several factors, including experience, skills, education, geography, and budget considerations.
