Full Time Temporary Position Salaried Exempt – 12 months Hybrid - Charlotte Area Position Summary The Talent Acquisition Specialist manages full‑cycle recruiting for SSI SCHAEFER’s automation, robotics, intralogistics, and engineering roles. This position partners with engineering, operations, project management, and commercial leaders to attract top technical talent supporting the design, deployment, and lifecycle maintenance of integrated automation systems. The Talent Acquisition Partner builds strong pipelines for highly specialized roles while ensuring an exceptional candidate and hiring manager experience that reflects SSI SCHAEFER’s “Think Tomorrow” innovation and embodies our Fundamentals culture. Key Responsibilities Talent Sourcing & Pipeline Development • Develop targeted sourcing strategies for automation technicians, controls engineers, robotics specialists, software developers, project managers, application engineers, field service technicians, and intralogistics roles., • Engage technical schools, engineering associations, automation/robotics communities, and industry‑specific talent networks., • Lead recruitment from job intake through offer acceptance and required internal new hire documentation., • Conduct technical screenings evaluating skills for various roles: Mechatronics, PLC/controls, controls support engineers, software developers, sales, application engineers, and more., • Advise leaders on talent availability, market competitiveness, and sourcing strategies for specialized roles., • Partner with cross‑functional teams to forecast hiring needs tied to automation project pipelines, customer installations, and service agreements across the U.S., • Promote SSI SCHAEFER’s culture of innovation, sustainability, safety, and long‑term customer partnership., • Represent and reinforce SSI SCHAEFER’s core values—Modesty, Trust, Professionalism, Respect, Collegiality, Result Orientation, and Reliability. These values shape how we work, how we collaborate, and how we serve our customers and partners., • Ensure a positive and transparent candidate experience throughout every stage of the hiring lifecycle., • Maintain accurate ATS data, documentation, and workflows aligned with global HR standards and NAM compliance requirements., • Track recruiting KPIs such as time‑to‑fill, quality of hire, pipeline diversity, and competitiveness., • Manage job postings, job description updates, resume reviews, phone screens, background checks, and offer letters., • Maintain communication with hiring managers and candidates throughout the recruitment and onboarding process., • Support Affirmative Action compliance and maintain applicant flow logs., • Coach hiring managers on interviewing and selection best practices., • Coordinate new‑hire onboarding with HR, Payroll, IT, safety, and hiring managers., • Prepare documents: offer letters, initiate background screening, internal records (Personnel Change Forms, new hire checklist, etc.)., • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Engineering Technology, or related field; or equivalent experience., • Minimum of 3+ years of recruiting experience with minimum of 1+ years of recruiting experience in the automation/intralogistics industry., • Strong understanding of technical intralogistics skill sets (PLC/controls, system integration, mechanical/electrical design)., • Demonstrated ability to partner with sales, engineering, IT, operations, project management, and field service teams., • Excellent relationship‑building, communication, and organizational skills., • Experience supporting automation or engineering implementations (AS/RS, shuttle systems, AGVs/AMRs, WMS/WCS)., • Familiarity with intralogistics technologies and warehouse automation ecosystems., • English fluency required; bilingual or multilingual proficiency preferred., • SHRM, PHR, or professional recruiter certification desired, but not required.
