Position Summary The Strategic Merchandiser is responsible for leading seasonal line planning, assortment strategy, and channel differentiation across all key Spirit Jersey business divisions: Resort, CND, Golf, Disney Parks and Specialty, Specialty and Department Stores, E-commerce, and Private Label. This role connects creative direction, commercial strategy, and operational execution to ensure that every collection is built with clarity, financial discipline, and channel intent. The ideal candidate brings deep merchandising expertise, a strong grasp of product architecture, and the ability to partner cross-functionally with design, sales, sourcing, operations, planning, and private label teams. This role drives line strategy in Centric PLM, ensures margin and calendar alignment, and plays a critical part in scaling the business across multiple divisions and channels while maintaining brand integrity, speed to market, and profitability.Key Responsibilities • Lead seasonal line planning and assortment architecture across Resort, CND, Golf, Disney Parks and Specialty, Specialty and Department Stores, E-commerce, and Private Label divisions, • Develop clear assortment strategies by channel and division, including pricing, margin, key items, and channel differentiation, • Build and manage seasonal line plans in Centric PLM, ensuring all styles, colorways, and channel data are accurate and up to date throughout the product lifecycle, • Partner with design to translate creative concepts into commercially successful assortments tailored to each division’s objectives, • Collaborate with sales leadership to develop targeted assortments for specialty, department stores, resort, golf, Disney Parks, and private label partners, • Align with e-commerce and marketing teams to ensure online assortments reflect brand storytelling, key product strategies, and seasonal direction, • Support the private label division by structuring assortments and seasonal plans that align with partner brand objectives, margin targets, and development timelines, • Work with sourcing and operations to ensure line plans align with production capabilities, cost goals, and lead times, • Monitor sales performance by channel and division, identifying chase and in-season opportunities to maximize sell-through and margin, • Own and maintain merchandising calendars, including key dates for line plan lock, pricing, internal line reviews, and sales handoff, • Create seasonal product stories and merchandising narratives for internal reviews, sales meetings, trade shows, and buyer presentations, • Collaborate with finance and planning to ensure assortment decisions support seasonal revenue and margin goals, • Provide data-driven insights productivity, channel performance, and opportunities for improvement through reporting and analytics, • Partner with Sales Director Specialty & Department Stores and private label leadership to ensure line strategy supports account expectations, market opportunities, and growth objectives, • Support the development of chase and replenishment strategies for high-performing styles across all channelsKey Performance Indicators (KPIs), • Line plan accuracy and calendar adherence, • Margin performance by channel and division, • Seasonal sell-in and sell-through performance, • Chase and replenishment program effectiveness, • Line productivity, SKU efficiency, and key item penetration, • Contribution of each division to overall revenue and margin goals, • Alignment between line strategy and private label partner deliverablesQualifications & Experience, • 5+ years of merchandising experience in apparel, lifestyle, or licensed product industries, • Proven success in seasonal line planning and assortment architecture across multiple channels, including specialty and department stores, • Strong understanding of merchandising strategies for Resort, CND, Golf, Disney Parks and Specialty, Specialty and Department Stores, E-commerce, and Private Label, • Experience collaborating closely with design, sales, sourcing, operations, planning, and private label teams, • Proficiency with PLM systems (Centric preferred) and comfort using reporting and analytics tools to drive decisions, • Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills, • Demonstrated ability to balance creative vision with commercial strategy to build high-performing assortments, • Experience with licensed, resort, or private label programs preferred, • Highly organized and able to manage multiple seasons and divisional flows simultaneously Powered by JazzHR a5ba7Keqop
