This 16-week travel nursing contract offers a rewarding experience serving a diverse patient population in the heart of Illinois healthcare.\n \n\nSpringfield, IL Nursing Job Details\n\n • Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2450-$2510\n, • Assignment Length: 16 weeks (option to extend)\n, • Location: Springfield, Illinois 62781\n, • Facility: Acute Care Hospital – Level I Trauma Center, Magnet Recognized\n, • Shift: 5x8-hour day shifts (06:45 – 15:15), 40 hours/week\n, • Weekend Requirement: 1 weekend shift per month\n, • On-Call: Approximately 1 per week\n, • Scrub Color: Provided\n, • Charting System: Cerner\n, • Parking: Free with permit\n\n\nRegistered Nurse Qualifications\n\n, • Current and active Illinois RN license (or in application process)\n, • Minimum 3 years of recent Operating Room RN experience in a Level I trauma setting\n, • BLS certification required (AHA or Red Cross)\n, • CNOR and CST certifications preferred\n, • Prior travel nursing experience required\n, • Must reside at least 50 miles from Springfield, IL facility\n, • Experience with Cerner electronic charting preferred\n, • Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)\n, • Ability to float within hospital or to affiliate hospitals as needed\n, • Willingness to work 2 out of 3 major holidays during assignment\n\n\nOR RN Responsibilities\n\n, • Deliver perioperative nursing care for a variety of surgical procedures: general, trauma, neurology, orthopedics, plastics, transplant, urology, and emergency (excluding CV service line)\n, • Demonstrate expertise in trauma and emergency management, including code response and fire safety protocols\n, • Operate advanced surgical equipment: electrosurgical units, fiber optic light sources, Hana tables\n, • Administer blood products, uphold infection control standards, maintain radiation safety, and manage specimens per protocol\n, • Participate in universal protocol (time out) and urinary bladder catheterization\n, • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams: IV, PT, RT, radiology, pharmacy, and more\n, • Float to other units or affiliate hospitals within your clinical skill set as needed\n We believe in empowering your career.
