Job Description POSITION SUMMARY: Perform the duties required to be responsible for the strategic oversight of the organization's health centers and facilities management. Provides strategic leadership in the oversight and improvement of clinical operations to ensure quality and customer-focused service delivery. As appropriate designs, develops, implements, evaluates and revises the delivery of service to ensure optimal patient and operational outcomes. Responsible for providing clinical and administrative leadership for the operations of Pharmacy, Radiology, Laboratory, HIM, Nursing Operations, Facilities, Dental Operations, and Quality Improvement. Responsible for developing and achieving targets in the strategic plan, fiscal management, creating and monitoring expense and revenue budgets, participating in grant reporting and audits, and program monitoring. This position also takes the lead in the clinical integration of clinical services and operations as well as partner development and community engagement. A member of the Senior Team, participating in the planning and coordination of organization-wide strategies. POSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS Education: This role requires an individual with a degree in a healthcare-related discipline, such as nursing, medicine, or behavioral health, to provide the clinical guidance necessary to achieve our clinical goals and improve patient outcomes. Experience: • Eight (8) years of related and/or applicable management experience, five (5) or more of which must be in a director level capacity in an ambulatory care outpatient facility., • Positions with increasing responsibility including the management of staff and projects are required., • A strong knowledge of the functions encompassed in the position., • An understanding of managing in a multi-site environment., • Vendor contracting and management experience., • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills., • Excellent oral and written communication skills including the preparation of narrative reports., • Strong technology skills, • Financial management and business decision making skills., • Strategic thinking and leadership, • Highly organized with strong attention to detail., • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. License(s)/Certification(s) Required: None FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB Essential Functions • Responsibility and accountability for the strategic leadership and organization of health centers, facilities management, and clinical operations including managing budgets, establishing goals, timelines, and measurements., • Responsible for the strategic oversight and administration of Pharmacy, Radiology, Laboratory, Nursing and Dental Operations, HIM, Quality Improvement and Accreditations, and Facilities at all Affinia Healthcare locations., • Oversees the coordination of clinic management operations, ensuring productivity and quality of service are in line with overall functional expectations and strategic goals., • Undertakes the full range of duties relevant to the leadership and development of the clinic staff to ensure their performance meets and/or exceeds both the business and their own personal goals and objectives, • Shared responsibility for establishing highly effective relationship with Chief Medical Officer to ensure alignment of clinical operations processes., • Mentors and guides direct reports and ensures training and development of staff., • Supports the continuous improvement and implementation of processes and technologies within Affinia Healthcare., • Ensures compliance with relevant regulations, e.g., Joint Commission, HRSA, NCQA and operating guidelines., • Provides accurate forecasting and annual budget throughout the year to ensure that the budgetary goals are met or exceeded. Reviews productivity and utilization of clinics., • Promotes and supports the implementation of the Affinia Healthcare vision and strategy, including defining goals and objectives for the clinics in line with the strategy. Actively supports the strategic goals through continuous improvement, workflow review, and innovation., • Evaluates team members, manages performance reviews, goal setting, and disciplinary action if required. Participates in formal staff review processes, e.g., performance and salary reviews to organization standards and timescales., • Maintains a positive, results-oriented work environment, building partnerships and modeling teamwork, communicating to the team in an open, balanced and objective manner., • Working in concert with other executives, department managers and clinicians serves as lead in the development and implementation of clinical integration strategies across all medical and other disciplines in the organization., • Manages the performance and workload of all staff to ensure issues and projects are handled timely and appropriately., • Ensures that resources are managed, including recruitment, training development, motivation, and retention issues., • Maintains the Pharmacy formulary and Laboratory protocols to include the most therapeutic and cost-effective options., • Oversees and manages equipment and supplies, ensuring preventive maintenance., • Resolves or clarifies problems arising with respect to ancillary services., • Acts as key contact for regulatory, clinical or customer satisfaction initiatives related to clinic and ancillary services., • Manages and negotiates ancillary vendor contracting and pricing in consultation with Finance., • Confers with Vice President, Chief Medical Officer as needed for matters pertaining to licensure and/or regulatory purposes, and medical issues., • Prepares or assists in the preparation of all required reporting., • Keeps abreast of the latest technical development affecting scope of responsibilities by membership and participation in various local, state, national organizations and related activities., • Develops and monitors procedures for keeping appropriate records and assuring ancillary services operate within budget limitations., • Works cooperatively with other departments in a team effort to accomplish objectives., • Ensures inspections are completed, and all necessary licenses are kept current., • Actively visible in the community promoting the Affinia Healthcare brand and mission., • Actively collaborates and develops new collaborations to advance the mission of Affinia Healthcare., • Proactively monitors operational effectiveness and develops strategies and action plans to maximize efficiency and effectiveness, • Assists with the preparation of the Community Needs Assessment and formation of strategic goals and action items., • Serves as the strategic leader for all operational initiatives and strategies through clinical and operational knowledge and expertise, • Other duties as assigned Marginal Functions: Attend and participate in meetings as required and needed.
