Our clinical care team consists of board-certified urologists, most of whom are fellowship-trained, nationally recognized, awarded, and published. Working in a team-based environment, our mission is to help patients optimize their urological health. Job Overview We are seeking a professional and experienced Pharmacy Technician who will serve the needs of the patients by processing orders and educating them on products and services between our 3 locations (2 Virginia Beach locations and Harbourview). Primarily in the Lynnhaven office. Duties and Responsibilities • Receive written prescriptions, electronic prescriptions or refill requests and verify that information is complete and accurate, • Process prescription claims through dispensary software, • Maintain records as required by local, state, and federal government regulations, • Possess an understanding and knowledge of current local, state, and federal government regulations, • Maintain proper storage and security conditions for drugs, • Collect patient copays and balance receipts at the end of the day. Turns in funds collected to finance department daily for bank deposit, • Maintain acceptable levels of stock. Creates drug order as needed and submits to supervisor for approval, • Maintain LHRH and BCG inventory and log, • Dispenses LHRH/BCG to clinical staff. Records date, patient name, medical record number and dosage on inventory log, • Provide manager with the LHRH/BCG log by the 5th business day of every month, • Balances LHRH/BCG log and Athena report at month end. Tracks down, corrects discrepancies and alerts supervisor of any discrepancies not corrected, • Places order for LHRH and BCG bi-monthly, • Maintain Certified Pharmacy Technician License in the state of Virginia, • Strong oral and written communication skills for corresponding with physicians, patients, and fellow employees, • Must be able to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels, • Proficient in typing (65 wpm), • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment, • Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically strong in Excel, • Experience working with Electronic Medical Records (EMR), • Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
