Job Description Job Title: Summer Camp Coordinator Organization: The Christian School at Castle Hills Position Type: Seasonal / Summer Employment Work Schedule: March – May 2026 - Flexible or remote hours due to preparing for summer camp June – August 2026 - Daily to oversee the summer camp Position Overview The Christian School at Castle Hills is seeking an organized, energetic, and Christ-centered Summer Camp Coordinator to lead and oversee our summer camp program. This individual will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising all aspects of the summer camp experience, ensuring a safe, engaging, and spiritually enriching environment for students. The Summer Camp Coordinator plays a vital leadership role by managing staff, organizing daily schedules and curriculum, coordinating field trips, and leading daily devotions, all while upholding the mission, values, and beliefs of our Christian school. Key Responsibilities Program Planning & Coordination • Develop and organize the daily camp schedule, including academic enrichment, recreational activities, arts, games, and themed events, • Plan age-appropriate curriculum and activities that are engaging, structured, and aligned with Christian values, • Coordinate and oversee field trips, including logistics, permissions, transportation, and supervision, • Plan and lead daily devotions, prayer time, and Bible-based lessons, • Model Christ-like behavior and encourage spiritual growth among campers and staff, • Recruit, hire, train, and supervise summer camp workers and volunteers, • Create staff schedules and ensure adequate coverage for all activities, • Provide ongoing guidance, feedback, and support to camp staff, • Maintain a safe, nurturing, and positive environment for all campers, • Enforce camp rules and behavioral expectations consistently, • Respond appropriately to student needs, concerns, or disciplinary issues, • Communicate effectively with school administration, parents, and staff, • Maintain attendance records, incident reports, and other required documentation, • Assist with registration, check-in/check-out procedures, and parent communication, • Support problem-solving and decision-making related to daily camp operations Qualifications • Strong personal Christian faith and ability to support and uphold the mission and values of The Christian School at Castle Hills, • Previous experience working with children in a camp, school, childcare, or youth ministry setting, • Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience preferred, • Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills, • Ability to plan, multitask, and adapt in a fast-paced environment, • CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain), • Background check required Desired Skills & Attributes • Enthusiastic, positive, and dependable, • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, • Ability to lead with patience, professionalism, and compassion, • Comfortable leading group activities and speaking in front of students and staff, • Team-oriented with a servant-leadership mindsetCompany DescriptionThe Christian School at Castle Hills seeks to lead students to know Christ and make Christ known.
