From pre-construction planning to final execution, our team leads with communication, collaboration, and a results-driven mindset that keeps projects on time and on budget. About the Role Icon Electric is hiring an experienced Senior Electrical Estimator to prepare cost estimates for electrical construction projects. This role involves working closely with contractors, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure accurate project pricing. What You'll Do • Estimate costs for electrical construction projects ($10,000 to $5 million), • Provide preliminary pricing based on discussions and available site conditions, • Assist in designing projects that are not fully developed, • Identify value engineering opportunities to optimize costs, • Account for hidden costs (engineering, testing, commissioning, etc.), • Consult with clients, vendors, and internal teams to refine estimates, • Attend job site walk-throughs to assess field conditions, • Request and analyze material and equipment quotes, • Prepare detailed bid documents with scope letters and labor estimates, • Convert preliminary budgets into finalized pricing, • Participate in sales efforts and client meetings, • Maintain strong relationships with vendors, clients, and contractors, • Keep project stakeholders updated on bid progress, • High school diploma or GED equivalent, • Electrical apprenticeship or bachelor's in Construction Management preferred, but not required, • 5+ years of electrical estimating experience in the commercial and/or industrial space, • Proficiency in Accubid, Word, Excel, Outlook, Bluebeam, • Stable work history (4-6 years per previous company), • Strong understanding of labor factoring and takeoff strategies, • Ability to supervise and lead an estimating team, • $120,000 to $140,000 base salary depending on experience, • Sign-on bonus, • Performance and retention bonus potential, • Company pays for Cobra for up to 90 days, • Generous PTO, • Relocation assistance if moving from out of state Join us and be part of a team dedicated to creating efficient, sustainable, and high-performance environments that make a lasting impact across the industrial, commercial, and institutional sectors.
