Job DescriptionDescription: Red Dot Corporation, the leading producer of premium mobile HVAC units and components for heavy-duty commercial and military vehicles, is recruiting for the following position: FLSA: Non-Exempt Shift: Days, Monday - Thursday 10 hour shifts, 6:30 AM to 5:15 PM Compensation: $19.00 per hour JOB SUMMARY: Under the general supervision and direction of the Area Team Leader, have the ability to work in assigned work centers/area. The work centers can vary from: CORE, Laser/Turret, Powder Coat, Tube Fab, Plastics, Assembly, etc. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Assemble, install, and integrate components and subassemblies according to engineering drawings, work instructions, and standard operating procedures., • Perform final assembly tasks such as mechanical fastening, wire preparation and routing, component alignment, and final product detailing., • Use hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment safely and effectively to complete assigned tasks., • Inspect assembled products to ensure workmanship, functionality, and conformance to quality standards., • Follow all safety, quality, and production requirements while maintaining a clean and organized work area., • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding work status, quality issues, or process concerns., • Ability to multi-task, • Ability to work at a fast paced environment., • Perform final assembly operations, including component installation, wire preparation, mechanical fastening, and final product detailing., • Adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs), blueprints, work instructions, and method sheets to complete tasks accurately and efficiently., • Operate tools, machinery, and related equipment safely and correctly., • Maintain a clean and organized work area, participating in daily 5S and housekeeping activities., • Follow all safety, security, and environmental procedures. Report safety concerns promptly to the supervisor or lead., • Work at a consistent pace to meet production schedules and quality standards., • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding work progress, issues, or changes., • Participate in cross-training as required and assist in other areas of production as needed., • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment., • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and SOPs., • Familiarity with quality control standards and visual/mechanical inspection techniques., • Basic mechanical aptitude and proficiency with hand and power tools., • Basic computer and data entry skills for tracking production activities., • Strong attention to detail, time management, and ability to work both independently and within a team., • Good communication skills for reporting issues and following directions., • Dependability and consistent attendance required., • Commitment to safety, product quality, and continuous improvement. Requirements: Physical Requirements • Must be able to stand for at least ten hours a day, • Visually or otherwise identify, observe and assess distance, color and depth; Required to regularly communicate with others and exchange accurate information., • Frequently move up to 25 pounds and occasionally move up to 50 pounds. He/she must be able to work within different temperature changes, indoors to outdoors; moving between buildings, inventory racks and working around moving equipment/machines; occasionally ascend/descend stairs as required., • High school diploma or GED required., • Prior manufacturing or production experience preferred., • Ability to interpret technical documents and follow instructions accurately., • Experience with departmental equipment or processes is a plus.
