Overview: The Vice President of Clinical Services (VPCS) at Community Mainstreaming Associates (CMA) is a senior executive leader responsible for the strategic oversight, quality, compliance, and performance of all clinical services across the organization. This role ensures the delivery of safe, high-quality, person-centered clinical care to individuals supported by CMA, consistent with regulatory requirements, best practices, and CMA’s mission and values. The VP directly supervises the Director of Behavioral Supports and the nursing team. Pay: $150,000 - $165,000/year What You Will Do: Executive Leadership & Strategy: • Provide strategic leadership and direction for all clinical services in alignment with CMA’s mission, values, and strategic plan., • Serve as the principal clinical advisor to the Chief Operating Officer and VPs of Residential and Community Services on matters related to nursing practice, clinical quality, risk management, and regulatory compliance., • Participate in organizational strategic planning, governance discussions, and executive decision-making., • Lead and facilitate cross-functional collaboration to ensure alignment, effective communication, and exceptional project outcomes, • Design, implement, and oversee CMA’s clinical governance framework to ensure accountability, safety, consistency, and excellence in care delivery., • Establish, monitor, and report on clinical key performance indicators (KPIs) related to quality outcomes, regulatory compliance, risk mitigation, and service effectiveness., • Lead continuous quality improvement (CQI) initiatives using data, evidence-based practices, and performance measurement systems., • Ensure clinical services comply with OPWDD, CMS, NYS Department of Health, Office of Licensing, and other applicable federal and state regulations., • Supervises the Director of Behavioral Supports, Nurses, and clinical consultants, • Provide executive oversight of nursing and behavioral health services, professional practice standards, and clinical plans of care across all CMA programs., • Develop and maintain nursing protocols and clinical standards reflective of current best practices and regulatory requirements, focusing on whole-person care and wellness., • Ensure effective clinical coordination for admissions, transfers, discharges, and continuity of care., • Provide clinical escalation and on-call guidance as required., • Lead the recruitment, onboarding, supervision, mentoring, and professional development of nursing leadership and clinical staff., • Promote a culture of accountability, respect, integrity, compassion, and clinical excellence., • Ensure licensure, credentialing, certification, and mandatory training compliance for all clinical staff., • Interpret new and evolving clinical regulations and translate them into effective policies, procedures, and practices., • Provide executive oversight for clinical audits, inspections, and reviews by any regulatory bodies, including but limited to OPWDD, CMS, NYS DOH, OMIG and CQL., • Lead or support the development and implementation of Plans of Correction following audits or inspections., • Collaborate with the COO, Finance, Residential and Operations leadership on clinical staffing models, budgeting, and resource utilization., • Ensure cost-effective delivery of clinical services while maintaining quality standards., • Provide clinical input on the development, evaluation, and implementation of new programs and services., • Recommend and oversee clinical consultants to ensure continuity and enhanced quality of care., • Serve as a standing member of CMA committees including the Incident Review Committee, Human Rights Committee, and others as assigned., • Provide training and guidance on MIPS, MOLST, surrogate decision-making, and ethical clinical practices., • Develop and implement processes for collecting, tracking and trending clinical data., • Leverage electronic health records (EHR) and clinical data systems to monitor outcomes, trends, and compliance., • Promote innovation in clinical practice and support grant-funded or pilot initiatives in collaboration with executive leadership.
