As a member of the Feeding America network of food banks and Westchester County’s leading hunger relief organization, we moved nearly 22 million pounds of food to agencies and partners across Westchester County, including food pantries, soup kitchens, senior centers, and schools last fiscal year. We supplied 17 million meals to children, families, and seniors, mobilized 11,000 volunteers, and raised over $17 million in donations and government support to help end hunger. THE OPPORTUNITY Feeding Westchester has an exciting opportunity for a passionate and mission driven Engagement and Impact Support Associate. Working within the Community Engagement and Impact department, reporting to the Director of Program Design, Implementation and Impact with high level of support to the Vice President of Community Engagement and Impact, the Engagement and Impact Support Associate plays a critical role in maintaining daily workflows and reporting for the entire team, while also interacting with our large number of partners (175+) . We are looking for someone with solid customer service and executive administration/departmental support background. The Engagement and Impact Support Associate will provide essential support in ensuring the effectiveness of our partner engagement efforts, the nutrition education efforts, the SNAP outreach efforts while managing all knowledge and backend files for the team. This position requires solid project management skills with a high level working knowledge of all Microsoft Office products and features (i.e. word, excel, teams, SharePoint, mail merge) as well as Canva with the ability to work independently on projects, from conception to completion, while multitasking daily requests. Communication and interpersonal skills, with a high level of organization and attention to detail are a must! ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES: • Support departmental purchases, and track credit card transactions, provide back-ups receipts, and create POs, and work with VP to track budget expenditures on a monthly basis., • Track and calendarize key agency dates, departmental deliverables, events or activities, including timelines and requests from internal or external sources., • Work collaboratively with agency leadership and admin staff as needed to prepare or provide material or information need to meet organizational goals, • Prepare written communication in the form of memos, emails, reports and other correspondence to the partner network, • Assist with the preparation and production of in-person or virtual events, including the Annual Partner Conference, Townhalls, Team meetings and external presentations, • Prepare meeting or project support materials in the form of PowerPoint, graphs, charts and other graphical presentation as needed., • Provide support to facilitate trainings, capacity building, resource allocation, and support to partner agencies and distribution sites., • Provide administrative support, including preparing reports, handling correspondence, and scheduling meetings, • Serve as an additional point of contact for Feeding Westchester’s requests for member information including, statistics, or other reports as needed., • Lead on monthly tracking and reporting neighbor visits at food distributions for our federal and state rpgtams, • Support planning and implementation of Medicaid home delivery project, and other large projects, including coordinating meeting with external and internal parties., • Uphold ethical standards and compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and organizational policies in the conduct of engagement and impact activities. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Required Education/Experience • Associates, Bachelor's degree or 3-5 years of project management and/or administrative experience. Non-profit experience a plus., • Demonstrated interest in hunger or related social issues., • Strong project and time management skills; ability to multitask several deadlines., • Ability to focus while working in an open-workspace environment, • Proactive workstyle, a “how can I help” attitude, emphasizing teamwork and excellence., • Sensitivity, tact, diplomacy, and the ability to honor confidentiality., • Impeccable attention to detail., • Positive attitude and willingness to learn and independently build technology skills Required Knowledge/Skills • Must be proficient in latest software and technology (Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Word), • Excellent written and oral communication skills., • Maintenance of effective working relationships with diverse stakeholders, both internally and externally., • Ability to work cross-departmentally to help advance our departments goals., • Problem solving to identify solutions and meet and enhance organizational mission., • Must have valid driver's license and use of a vehicle to ensure ability to travel independently for Feeding Westchester business. SALARY: $65,000.00 Monday - Friday 8:30AM - 5:00PM Nights and weekends as needed.
