Job Summary As a Corporate Trainer at SFAC, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the skills, knowledge, and mindset of our team members across various departments, including service technicians, customer service representatives, and emerging leaders. Reporting to the Learning & Development Manager, you will design and deliver participant-centered training programs that leverage neuroscience principles to enhance learning retention, foster leadership development, and drive a stress-free, high-performance culture. You'll collaborate with subject matter experts to create engaging, impactful sessions that align with SFAC's values and business goals. Job Summary As our Corporate Trainer, you will be the heartbeat of our learning ecosystem. Reporting directly to the Learning & Development Manager (with close partnership to executive leadership), you'll design, deliver, and continuously evolve highly engaging, in-person training experiences that equip service technicians, advisors, support staff, and emerging leaders to excel in our fast-paced environment. Your approach is unapologetically participant-centered: you start with learners' real-world challenges, questions, and energy levels, then flexibly guide discussions, activities, and content to maximize relevance, retention, and immediate application. Drawing on neuroscience-backed methods, adult learning mastery, and a touch of creativity, you'll create "stress-free" learning spaces where people feel safe to experiment, fail forward, and grow. This role is for a seasoned facilitator who lives for the magic of a room full of engaged participants and who can pivot on a dime to turn any session into exactly what the group needs that day. Key Responsibilities You will work directly with new hires, supervisors, and experienced team members to promote safe, efficient, and professional performance across these roles. • Deliver engaging, hands-on training on operational procedures, tools, systems, and safety protocols, for labor and trade personnel, • Facilitate in-person and/or virtual workshops on communication, leadership, problem-solving, and team collaboration for supervisors and professional staff., • Assess trainees' skill levels and learning needs, adjusting content and delivery accordingly., • Support onboarding, upskilling, and refresher training for employees at different levels., • Conduct live instruction in classroom, shop, and field-based environments., • Observe and assess employee performance during training and provide actionable feedback., • Travel to field sites to support job-specific coaching, reinforce training content, and observe work in context., • Maintain accurate records of training completion, evaluations, and participant feedback., • Collaborate with project managers, foremen, and field staff to identify performance gaps and recommend training interventions, • Coordinate with department leaders to identify training needs and ensure alignment with operational goals and values., • Provide feedback on training materials including instructor led training, manuals, toolkits, and e-learning modules, when gaps are identified., • Masterfully Facilitate Participant-Centered Sessions: Lead dynamic, in-person workshops, hands-on simulations, role-plays, and cohort-based programs covering technical auto care mastery, legendary customer service, leadership essentials, stress resilience, and team dynamics. Read participant cues in real time, energy dips, confusion, breakthroughs and pivot instantly: shift to deeper discussion, add a relevant case study, introduce a quick brain-break mindfulness exercise, or reframe content to address unspoken needs. No two sessions are identical because every group is unique., • Integrate Neuroscience & Cutting-Edge Adult Learning: Embed proven brain-based strategies (e.g., spaced repetition for retention, cognitive load optimization, emotional engagement via storytelling, neuroplasticity-focused practice, gamification, and flow-state activities) to make learning stick. Leverage AI tools thoughtfully to personalize follow-up, generate adaptive scenarios, or enhance pre/post-session reinforcement—while keeping the human connection at the core., • Drive Leadership & Cultural Transformation: Co-create and deliver programs that build SFAC-specific leadership skills, emotional intelligence under pressure, decisive action in service bays, motivating high-energy teams, and fostering a "stress-free" mindset amid operational demands., • Assess Impact & Iterate Relentlessly: Use multi-level evaluation (Kirkpatrick-inspired: reaction, learning, behavior change, results) including real-time feedback, knowledge checks, on-the-job observation, and performance metrics. Turn insights into agile updates that demonstrate clear ROI and fuel continuous program evolution., • Collaborate as a Strategic Partner: Partner closely with department leaders, SMEs, HR, and external resources to uncover emerging needs, co-design bespoke content, support high-impact onboarding, and champion cross-functional learning initiatives., • Cultivate a Thriving Learning Culture: Inspire a growth mindset across SFAC through learning events, peer mentoring, knowledge-sharing communities, and staying ahead of trends in automotive service training, facilitation mastery, and neuroscience-informed development., • Own the Logistics Seamlessly: Handle scheduling, in-person venue setup, materials, LMS administration, and hybrid elements (when needed) to ensure flawless execution.Qualifications, • Knowledge: Having broad expertise or unique knowledge, uses skills to contribute to development of company objectives and principles and to achieve goals in creative and effective ways., • Education: Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Education, Adult Learning, Organizational Psychology, Human Resources, Neuroscience, or a closely related field. Advanced certifications (e.g., ATD Master Trainer, Certified Professional in Talent Development, facilitation credentials like IAF, or neuroscience/learning science programs) strongly preferred., • Experience: 7+ years of progressive facilitation/training experience in corporate or service-intensive environments, with proven mastery in leading interactive, in-person groups. Automotive/service industry exposure is a strong plus, but exceptional facilitators from other high-energy sectors (hospitality, healthcare, retail, tech) who can quickly grasp technical concepts are encouraged to apply.
