Job Description Job Summary: The Card Product Owner is accountable for the end-to-end delivery of card product initiatives, including the modification of existing card products and the launch of new card products. This role serves as the primary coordinator and execution lead between the VP of Card Products, Visa, Visa DPS (processor), rewards partners, internal technology teams, and the EdFed PMO. The Card Product Owner sets delivery priorities in partnership with the VP of Card Products and is responsible for driving timelines, resolving dependencies, and ensuring successful product launches by established target dates. Product Delivery & Execution Ownership • Own the end-to-end delivery of assigned card product initiatives, including modification of existing consumer credit card products and the launch of new card products., • Drive product initiatives from concept through implementation, testing, go-live, and post-launch stabilization., • Partner with the Vice President of Card Products to define priorities, sequencing, and delivery timelines aligned with strategic objectives and organizational capacity., • Maintain a forward-looking delivery roadmap that accounts for regulatory, operational, technical, and vendor dependencies. 2. Cross-Functional & Vendor Coordination • Serve as the primary point of coordination between internal stakeholders and external partners, including Visa, card processor, rewards program providers, IT, Operations, Marketing, and the EdFed Project Management Office., • Lead cross-functional design, planning, and review sessions to align business requirements, technical solutions, and operational readiness., • Identify, manage, and resolve project dependencies, risks, and issues to keep initiatives on track., • Act as a consultative partner in interpreting Visa mandates and network requirements, making recommendations for implementation approaches. 3. Project & Delivery Management • Establish and manage project scope, goals, deliverables, milestones, timelines, and change requests in alignment with PMO methodology and tracking standards., • Effectively communicate project status, risks, decisions, and progress to leadership and key stakeholders., • Manage multiple concurrent initiatives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining delivery quality and accuracy., • Ensure project activities remain aligned with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and member experience standards. 4. Requirements, Testing & Readiness • Translate business needs and product objectives into clear, actionable requirements in collaboration with business units and technical teams., • Ensure all testing activities (system, integration, user acceptance) are completed, documented, and approved prior to go-live., • Coordinate training, procedures, and operational readiness to support successful product launches and enhancements., • Partner with Card Services, Disputes, and Operations teams to refine workflows, processes, and controls related to card product changes. 5. Continuous Improvement & Problem Solving • Research, evaluate, and recommend solutions or alternatives that more effectively meet business objectives and improve member experience., • Identify opportunities for process improvement to enhance operational efficiency, reduce friction, and support scalable growth., • Analyze business systems, workflows, and user needs to drive thoughtful, practical product enhancements., • Produce detailed documentation, reporting, and analysis to support decision-making and execution. 6. Leadership & Influence • Act as a delivery leader by influencing outcomes without direct authority, aligning diverse stakeholders toward shared goals., • Demonstrate the ability to lead, motivate, and guide cross-functional teams through complex initiatives., • Maintain strong working relationships across the organization while modeling accountability, transparency, and collaboration. 7. Other Responsibilities • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination, • Ability to think strategically, conceptually and analytically including strong trouble-shooting skills., • Strong attention to detail and solid interpersonal, written and verbal skills., • Ability to meets deadlines and manage changing priorities with limited direction., • Experience of acting in a consultancy capacity guiding team members to appropriate decisions., • Maintain the confidentiality of the Credit Union and member records at all times., • Advanced knowledge of the Credit Union products and services.
