Job Description: This job is responsible for leading the specialty asset management business overseeing services for non-financial assets such as farm and ranch land, timberland, real estate, mineral and energy interests, and private businesses. Key responsibilities include driving revenue growth, new business development and guiding client relationship strategies. Job expectations include managing regional financial goals, developing and coaching team members, ensuring disciplined risk management, and delivering strong client and business partner engagement in a complex asset management environment. The Regional Manager, Oil & Gas Accounting & Client Service is responsible for the fiduciary management of oil, gas, and mineral assets, combining advanced revenue accounting, and Joint Interest Billing (JIB) oversight for complex trust, estate, and investment management portfolios. This role serves as a subject matter expert (SME) for non-operated working interest accounting, royalty revenue validation, and mineral asset strategy, partnering closely with Private Bank relationship managers, operations, land departments, IT, and other third parties such as operators and company vendors. The position requires independent judgment, strong accounting and land expertise, and the ability to manage risk while delivering high quality client outcomes. This role will have dotted line oversight responsibility for all oil and gas accounting process across internal stakeholders/groups. Responsibilities: Portfolio & Asset Management * Analyze and monitor complex oil, gas, and mineral assets held in trusts, estates, and investment management accounts * Provide strategic recommendations to optimize asset value, mitigate risk, and align with client objectives * Support onboarding and ongoing administration of large, complex non-operated working-interest and mineral royalty portfolios Revenue Accounting & Financial Oversight * Review, validate, and reconcile oil and gas revenue statements, including netted statements, check detail, suspense activity, and adjustments * Ensure accurate revenue allocation by property, owner, and interest * Monitor and resolve revenue suspense, escheated funds, shut-ins, delay rentals, lease bonuses, and other oil & gas income * Support timely and accurate client distributions in accordance with fiduciary standards * Assist in providing clients with consolidated financial statements and financial reporting support Joint Interest Billing (JIB) * Review and approve non-operated JIB charges for allowability, accuracy, and timing * Investigate, dispute, and resolve incorrect or unsupported JIB charges with operators * Monitor unpaid JIB balances and coordinate resolution across internal teams * Support reconciliation of historical JIB balances, including retroactive corrections Systems Integration & Conversion Management * Serve as a key accounting and asset-management partner during system integrations, platform conversions, and data migrations impacting oil, gas, and mineral assets * Support pre- and post-conversion validation of revenue, ownership, Joint Interest Billing (JIB), and historical balances * Participate in data mapping, user acceptance testing (UAT), and reconciliation activities to ensure completeness and accuracy * Identify, research, and remediate data integrity issues related to revenue, JIB, ownership, or asset records * Support post-conversion stabilization efforts to minimize client disruption and operational risk * Collaborate with IT, operations, and third-party vendors to ensure conversion outcomes meet fiduciary, regulatory, and internal control standards Process Development and Reporting * Design and implement revenue and JIB accounting workflows, templates, and analytical tools to support a scalable internal function. * Establish and document standard operating procedures for all revenue and JIB accounting processes. * Provide clients and internal stakeholders with regular updates on financial reporting; support Lease Operating Statement (LOS) preparation and analysis, ensuring accurate cost allocation by tract and well.
