Job DescriptionSalary: TST TACTICAL DEFENSE SOLUTIONS, INC. DBA TIDEWATER DEVELOPMENT SERVICES CORPORATION (TDSC) & TST ROOFING AND GLAZING (TSTRG) Our search is currently limited to qualified candidates living within the Hampton Roads commuting area. SUMMARY: The Construction Safety & Apprenticeship Administrator provides administrative, organizational, and program support to the Safety Department and Apprenticeship Program. This role is responsible for assisting in ensuring compliance with company, state, and federal safety standards while also assisting in the management of the apprenticeship program documentation and reporting. The position involves recordkeeping, scheduling, and coordination of safety and apprenticeship activities to support employee development and promote a strong safety culture. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: SAFETY PROGRAM ADMINISTRATION • Assist in preparing and maintaining documentation for VA BEST and VA BUILT programs., • File, track, and maintain all employee training certifications., • Maintain the Daily Deficiency Tracking Log and keep a record of potential write-ups for review., • Assist in maintaining incident logs and filing accident/incident reports., • Help coordinate the Safety Committee by scheduling meetings and serving as the groups record keeper., • Assist in developing master templates for Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs), Accident Prevention Plans (APPs), Emergency Action Plans, and Site-Specific Fall Protection Plans., • Assist in gathering, preparing, and submitting documentation for safety awards., • Maintain and update the weekly toolbox talk database., • Gather data and assist in organizing safety trend reports., • Help plan and execute monthly and annual safety stand-down events., • Support the administration of Safety Management software., • Assist in developing and administering the Safety Recognition Program., • Collect and maintain the required data for the companys DOT program., • Assist in managing data collection with apprenticeship instructors and students to ensure program compliance., • Maintain and update apprenticeship tracking spreadsheets:, • Training Spreadsheet updated weekly, • On-the-Job Training Spreadsheet updated weekly, • Work Process Schedule Spreadsheet updated weekly, • Transcript Spreadsheet updated weekly, • Pay Increase Spreadsheet updated every six months, • Support program reporting requirements to meet state and federal apprenticeship compliance standards., • Assist in the coordination of apprenticeship events, testing, and instructor/student communications., • Must reside within commuting distance of our main office in Virginia Beach, VA., • This is an in-person, on-site position no telecommuting. POSITION SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE • 3-5 years of proven experience in administration., • Previous administrative experience in construction safety, compliance, or apprenticeship programs, preferred., • Strong organizational and data management skills with close attention to detail., • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)., • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion., • Strong written and verbal communication skills., • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment., • Effective reporting and communication skills., • Must be 18 years of age., • Must be punctual and reliable., • Must be organized and have an eye for detail. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to perform the essential functions of this job successfully. • Primarily office-based role with possible occasional site visits., • Must be able to sit, stand, and use standard office equipment for extended periods., • Light lifting (up to 20 lbs.) may be required for training/event setup., • Dexterity of hands and fingers. SALARY: • Negotiable depending on experience., • Paid Weekly on Fridays (Mon thru Sun Work Week) w/ paystubs emailed.
