Job DescriptionJob Title: Warehouse Associate IJob Description The Warehouse Associate I plays a key role in ensuring the efficient, accurate, and safe movement of products within a fast-paced warehouse environment. Working under direct supervision, this role focuses on receiving, inspecting, organizing, and shipping products while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and teamwork. The position involves hands-on, physically demanding work and requires strong attention to detail, reliable performance, and a collaborative attitude. Responsibilities • Unload, organize, and perform quality inspections on incoming products to ensure they meet company standards., • Update inventory records accurately and consistently in accordance with company policies., • Locate, pick, inspect, and load products for customer orders, ensuring precise order fulfillment., • Assemble tire and wheel packages, including proper mounting and balancing to meet customer specifications., • Apply tire studs, shave, or heat cycle tires as required by specific customer requests., • Handle and inspect returned products, update inventory, and process returns following established procedures., • Pick and deliver products for onsite customer pick-up and will-call, ensuring timely and accurate service., • Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, order pickers, turrets, and other warehouse machinery while strictly following safety guidelines., • Maintain clean, organized, and tidy workspaces and comply with required personal protective equipment (PPE) and all safety protocols., • Complete training on advanced product knowledge, safety practices, and conduct policies as outlined in the employee handbook., • Accurately read labels and product information, and organize items by order type, tire type (such as regular or run-flat), and other specifications., • Use RF scanners and physical product checks to cross-reference labels and ensure correct categorization and order accuracy., • Identify and correct discrepancies in order fulfillment, taking proactive steps to resolve issues., • Support teammates and offer assistance to promote a collaborative, team-oriented work environment., • Perform physically demanding tasks throughout the shift, including lifting, rolling, stacking, and organizing heavier or bulkier items., • In the Order Picking area, pick tires from rack locations, place them onto pallets, and maintain an average productivity of approximately 850 pieces per day., • In the Shipping Department, check in tires, verify order accuracy, tape and band tires together for shipment, and maintain high levels of attention to detail and productivity., • In the Mount and Balance Department, mount tires onto wheels, balance assemblies, and package completed orders to meet quality and accuracy standards.Essential Skills, • Ability to accurately read, identify, label, and organize products to ensure precise order fulfillment., • Comfort operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, order pickers, turrets, and other material handling tools., • Strong attention to detail when checking in tires, verifying orders, taping and banding tires, and packaging completed assemblies., • Capability to perform repetitive, physical work, including lifting, rolling, stacking, and moving materials throughout the shift., • Dependable work habits with the ability to maintain a steady, consistent pace while meeting productivity expectations., • Ability to manage assigned tasks efficiently so products are received, stored, and shipped in a timely manner., • Willingness to collaborate with colleagues, assist team members, and contribute to a positive, team-oriented work environment., • Commitment to following safety guidelines, using required PPE, and operating equipment safely at all times., • Basic manufacturing, assembly, warehouse, and material handling skills related to lifting, moving, and organizing inventory., • Ability to categorize products by order type, tire type (including regular and run-flat), and other specifications such as left or right tire.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred but not required., • Experience in shipping and receiving operations, including working in a shipping department, is beneficial., • Familiarity with RF scanners and cross-referencing labels with physical products is an advantage., • Experience in mounting and balancing tires and wheels is preferred; training can be provided for motivated candidates., • Strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain tidy, well-structured work areas., • Comfort performing physically demanding tasks for the duration of the shift., • Ability to quickly learn advanced product knowledge and apply it in daily tasks.Why Work Here? Work Environment The role is based in a busy warehouse setting with distinct functional areas, each operating on structured schedules. Order Picking associates typically work Monday through Friday between approximately 7:30 a.m./9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m./6:00 p.m., picking tires from rack locations, placing them onto pallets, and maintaining an average of about 850 pieces per day. Shipping Department associates generally work Monday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Tuesday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., checking in tires, verifying order accuracy, and taping and banding tires together for shipment while performing repetitive, physical tasks. Mount and Balance Department associates follow similar hours, mounting tires onto wheels, balancing assemblies, and packaging completed orders, with training available for those new to this work. The environment is fast-paced and physically demanding, requiring comfort with warehouse equipment and a strong safety mindset. Employees are expected to use appropriate personal protective equipment, maintain organized work areas, and work steadily and dependably throughout their shifts. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of MCCARRAN, NV. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.25 - $22.25/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
