Job Description Mechanical Maintenance Technician I Location: Dallas, TX Shifts: 5am-3:30pm OR 3:30pm-2:00am Monday-Friday + OT Salary: $24.00-35.00 an hour About the Role: We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our team and maintain high-speed production and packaging equipment in a manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on, mechanical role focused on production line equipment, not general facility maintenance. If you enjoy troubleshooting, repairing, and optimizing mechanical and electrical systems, this could be the perfect fit. What You’ll Do: • Disassemble, repair, and reassemble production filling and packaging equipment., • Set up production lines for specific products (adjust fill volume, cap height, date codes, and rail width)., • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control system issues., • Perform preventive maintenance on fillers, pumps, conveyors, cappers, and other production machinery., • Operate hand tools, MIG/TIG welding equipment, forklifts, and scissor lifts as needed., • Maintain accurate work logs and record maintenance activities in the CMMS., • Perform cleaning and sanitation of equipment after maintenance tasks., • Collaborate with production teams to ensure maximum efficiency and quality., • High school diploma or equivalent; technical/trade school training a plus., • 1–2 years of mechanical experience, preferably in manufacturing., • Experience troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems., • Familiarity with preventive maintenance procedures., • Ability to read schematics, manuals, and technical instructions., • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills., • Ability to work flexible hours and off shifts as needed., • Lift up to 50 lbs., • Stand, bend, squat, and reach for extended periods., • Manual dexterity to operate hand and power tools., • Comfortable working in confined spaces and at heights.
