Job Description Reporting to the Managing Director, Physical Plant and Grounds, the Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for maintaining and continuously improving College grounds, athletic facilities, walkways, parking lots, roads, buildings, equipment, and facilities. This position will collaborate with the diverse staff and facility functions at the College and directly supervise grounds, maintenance, custodial, and contractor staff to ensure grounds are safe, clean, and attractive. POSITION SUMMARY Responsibilities include but are not limited to: • Direct manages, and participates in all grounds and fleet maintenance activities at the College., • Responsible for directly supervising skilled and semi-skilled trade staff and contractors within the Facilities departments., • Plans, coordinates, and supervises grounds and operations and maintenance projects, including but not limited to, irrigation, athletic facility care, tree and shrub care, mowing, edging, fertilizing, weed control and spraying., • Administers College contracts and purchasing for grounds and landscaping, irrigation, power washing, paving and roadway/walkway work, tree work, snow and ice removal, etc. schedules work, reviews invoices, confirms payments, and tracks costs and budgets., • Manages administrative functions for grounds and facilities including project planning, procurement and purchasing, personnel and contractor relations, inventory and budget management and preparation., • Performs, as necessary, physical tasks associated with the program and care of College grounds and property including using powered and manual equipment and tools., • Oversees and documents work assignments and special duties including seasonal maintenance plans, preventative maintenance, snow removal, plantings, seeding, and fertilizing. Memorializes plans in written form for snow/ice removal, soil testing and treatment, turf management, etc., • Supervising and directing various skilled and semi-skilled crafts including: electricians, plumbers, mechanics, general maintenance repairpersons, groundskeepers., • Directs and coordinates diverse team of facility professionals to provide general maintenance services including painting, flooring, ceiling, sheetrock, deep cleaning, etc., • Coordinates proactively with College staff to plan and prepare the College for events and activities., • Monitors, records, and reports on the operation and maintenance of the College’s vehicle fleet including scheduling services/repairs, monitoring usage/mileage, reviews invoices, manages registrations and inspections., • Develops a program to maintain power-driven equipment including mowers, edgers, blowers, carts, etc. and manage material and supplies inventories; orders, issues, and tracks the use of materials to maintain grounds operations., • Coordinates, oversees, and participates in snow and ice removal activities at all campus locations., • Ensures compliance and safety tasks and trainings are completed on aboveground storage tanks, storm water compliance, hazardous materials management and disposal, equipment safety, etc., • Follows and trains staff on sound safety procedures for all equipment, supplies, chemicals, and materials, • Regularly inspects areas of College and reports irregularities, including, but not limited to, lighting, fire hydrants, roadways/walkways, parking lots, signage, irrigation, drainage, emergency systems, etc., • Removes litter and empties trash cans, • Assists with engineering reviews of studies, contract specifications, drawings, and site visits, • Works within a unionized environment to communicate and deliver improvements. KEY ESSENTIALS: • Uses computer for basic word processing and / or basic spreadsheet use., • Uses a variety of software packages to maintain databases and create complex, custom reports., • Supervises all the LPN’s and monitors productivity to ensures policies and procedures are being followed., • Assists the Medical Director with the history and physicals of the outpatient clients., • Conducts monthly audits of client records and present the results to the QA committee., • Develops an action plan to address trends., • Dispensing of methadone as required., • Conducts preliminary nursing assessments., • Reviews daily, weekly and monthly reports of the methadone clinic., • Reviews policies and procedures with Director and participates in any changes that need to be tailored to the flow of operation., • Participates in weekly client case conferences., • Conducts “Health related topics” group meeting., • Assists the Regional and Assistant director with the day-to-day operations when necessary., • High School Diploma required., • Bachelor of Science Nursing preferred., • Graduate of an accredited Nursing School., • Must possess a valid and unrestricted NYS license as a Registered Professional Nurse., • Minimum three (3) years practical experience in substance use disorder program required., • Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience preferred., • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification., • Current NYS mandated infection control certification (approved by NYSDOH, valid for four years, 4.0 hours)., • Must obtain Mandated reporter (2 hours) within thirty (30) days., • Obtain within six months of hire:, • Supporting Recovery with Medications Addiction Treatment (MAT)., • CASAC Canon of Ethics (6 hours)., • Confidentiality related to 42CFR (3 hours)., • Knowledge of substance/alcohol dependence/abuse population., • Specialty Area may include but not limited to Family Health, Women’s Health, Holistic Care, etc., • Ability to use business acumen to exercise good judgment and decision-making., • Ability to deal with sensitive issues with diplomacy and discretion., • Must be able to multi-task with strong organizational skills., • Excellent interpersonal skills and able to communicate both verbally and in written form., • Commitment to cultural diversity and sensitivity. Job Description The Health and Wellness Director (Registered Nurse/RN ) oversees the on-going day-to-day operations of the health and wellness department including the planning, implementation, and evaluation of resident care. The Health and Wellness Director (RN) is an exempt, salaried position, reporting to the Executive Director and also has a dotted line to the Regional Health & Wellness Director. Salary Range $120K-130K Responsibilities and Duties • Responsible for all areas of the Health & Wellness department (compliance, planning, assessments, directing, budget, staffing, hands-on care) in accordance with current state regulations and company policies and procedures, • Conduct thorough resident assessments, • Assure resident care needs are met and maintained according to physician orders, state regulation, and company policies and procedures, • Monitors the progress and effectiveness of the resident’s care plan through written progress notes and through verbal communication with residents and associates, • Evaluates the health and wellness associates’ skill competencies and overall performance, • Complete nursing audits as needed (med carts, eMARS/TARS) to ensure compliance to state regulations and company policies and procedures, • Implement training programs and in-services for all associates in accordance with state regulations, • Provide ongoing leadership to the Health & Wellness associates and ensure staffing levels and shift schedules are operating at the highest level, • Coordinates ancillary support services for residents, • Informs physician, family, and associates of changes in resident’s condition and needs, • Maintains department within budgetary guidelines for staffing and supplies, • Assist with nurse coverage, as needed, • Has 24/7 on-call responsibilitiesQualifications, • Graduate of an accredited nursing school with a current NY nursing license (RN ) in good standing, • Four (4) or more years’ experience in a supervisory role in Senior Living, Assisted Living, Long-Term Care or Skilled Care, • While performing the duties of this job, the associate is often required to stand, walk, sit, use fine and gross motor skills, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, hear, and smell., • An individual in this position will be required to lift or carry weight in up to 50 lbs. Intermittent physical activity includes lifting and supporting residents. The associate must use proper body mechanics.
