Job Description Primary Job Title: Phlebotomist Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) Alternate/Related Job Titles: • Certified Phlebotomist, • Patient Service Technician Onsite Flexibility: Onsite Contract Details: • Position Type: Contract, • Contract Duration: 3.5 months (estimated), • Start: As Soon As Possible Job Summary: The Phlebotomist / Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) serves as the face of the organization, providing professional, compassionate, and efficient service to patients while performing high-quality blood specimen collections. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to patient safety and confidentiality. The PSR I will uphold company standards by maintaining process excellence, adhering to compliance procedures, and delivering exceptional patient experiences. Key Responsibilities: • Perform accurate and timely specimen collection and processing following established clinical and forensic procedures., • Maintain a safe, clean, and professional environment at all times., • Verify patient identity and ensure all specimens are labeled correctly and completely., • Accurately document collections and maintain required records per company and regulatory standards., • Provide superior customer service and communicate clearly with patients and healthcare partners., • Adhere to all health and safety policies, including dress code and confidentiality guidelines., • Work independently with minimal supervision while managing priorities in a high-volume environment.Required Experience:, • Minimum 6 months of phlebotomy experience required; 1+ years preferred., • Experience in customer service or a healthcare-related environment preferred., • Proficiency in keyboard/data entry and electronic documentation., • Experience handling pediatric, geriatric, and capillary blood draws.Required Education:, • High school diploma or equivalent required., • Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred., • Phlebotomy certification required in California.Required Skills:, • Strong phlebotomy and specimen-handling skills., • Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication., • Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment., • Strong attention to accuracy and compliance standards.Preferred Skills:, • Familiarity with laboratory information systems and documentation workflows., • Team-oriented with flexibility to support multiple collection sites if needed., • Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license for occasional travel.Additional Skills:, • Willingness to work flexible hours, weekends, and holidays if required., • Commitment to company policies, safety standards, and ethical guidelines. • Medical, Vision, and Dental Insurance Plans, • 401k Retirement Fund About The Company: Leading provider of diagnostic information services empowering healthier lives.
