Job Description JOB OVERVIEW The Electrician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of all electrical systems and related equipment throughout the hotel. In a full-service, fast-paced hospitality environment, this role ensures uninterrupted operations across guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house facilities, kitchens, restaurants, laundry, spa, fitness center, meeting rooms, and event spaces. Such a position plays a critical role in maintaining a safe, comfortable, and fully operational environment for guests, team members, and visitors, while supporting the hotel’s commitment to exceptional service standards. WHAT WE OFFER • Pay rate: $38 - 43 per hour, • Medical, dental, vision insurance, • 401(k) with company matching, • Exclusive worldwide Hilton employee travel discount program, • ... and more DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Inspect, maintain, and repair electrical systems including panels, breakers, transformers, switchgear, generators, UPS systems, and distribution systems, • Troubleshoot power outages, electrical faults, and system failures quickly and efficiently, • Install and maintain lighting systems (interior, exterior, landscape, emergency, decorative, and event lighting), • Maintain guest room electrical components including outlets, switches, fixtures, thermostats, and smart room systems, • Support HVAC electrical controls, motors, and related building automation systems, • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance in accordance with hotel SOPs and local regulations, • Maintain detailed maintenance logs, inspection records, and compliance documentation, • Test and maintain emergency lighting and backup power systems, • Assist in predictive maintenance initiatives to reduce downtime and extend equipment life, • Coordinate with other engineering team members to complete daily work orders, • Support banquet and event operations with temporary power setups and technical requirements, • Assist with renovations, room upgrades, and capital improvement projects, • Ensure compliance with local electrical codes, fire safety standards, and OSHA regulations, • Maintain proper lockout/tagout procedures, • Identify and report safety hazards immediately, • Participate in safety drills and emergency response procedures, • Maintain safe storage and handling of tools, materials, and electrical components, • Respond to guest service requests in a courteous, professional, and timely manner, • Work discreetly in occupied areas to minimize disruption, • Perform other duties as assigned by Management QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS Education & Experience • High school diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational certification in electrical systems required, • Valid electrician license as required by local or state regulations., • Minimum 3-5 years of experience as an electrician; hospitality or commercial facility experience preferred Required Skills/Abilities • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills, • Advanced knowledge of: Electrical distribution systems; Generators and backup systems; Motor controls and VFDs; Low-voltage systems; Building automation systems, • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, • Excellent time management in a high-demand, fast-paced environment, • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals, • Strong attention to detail and safety awareness, • Highly effective communication and teamwork skills, • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals Schedule The work schedule is based on the demands of the business you must be available days, nights, weekends, and/or holiday availability are required. Physical, Mental and Environmental & Technical Demands Fast-paced environment, multiple tasks to be handled under time constraint. Must be able to bend, crouch, kneel, and twist in the work area. The role involves frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, lifting, pushing, and pulling objects weighing up to 250lbs. often for extended periods. Must be able to maneuver around property. Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time. Must be able to operate a computer, telephone, and copier. Must have manual dexterity to operate all office equipment. Grooming All employees must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance.
