Job DescriptionJob post summary Date posted:December 18, 2025 Pay:$68,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year Job description: Job Summary: Intensive In-Home Therapy (IHT) ClinicianPre-Licensed The Intensive In-Home Therapy (IHT) Clinician (Pre-Licensed) is a masters-level behavioral health professional working toward independent clinical licensure (LICSW, LMHC, LMFT, or Licensed Psychologist) who provides home- and community-based therapeutic services to children, adolescents, and their families. Services are delivered under appropriate clinical supervision and in accordance with the Massachusetts Childrens Behavioral Health Initiative (CBHI), MassHealth regulations, and MBHP contractual requirements. Under the direction of a licensed supervisor, the IHT Clinician conducts comprehensive biopsychosocial and family assessments, contributes to the development of individualized, youth- and family-driven treatment plans, and delivers evidence-informed therapeutic interventions aimed at improving emotional regulation, family functioning, and community stability. Interventions emphasize strength-based, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive practices. The Pre-Licensed IHT Clinician actively participates in individual and group supervision, multidisciplinary team meetings, and care coordination activities with caregivers, schools, outpatient providers, Intensive Care Coordination (ICC), Therapeutic Mentoring (TM), and other collateral systems, including DCF and primary care providers, as required. The clinician ensures timely, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation in accordance with MBHP utilization management standards, including medical necessity, service intensity, risk assessment, and measurable treatment outcomes. This role includes responsibility for crisis response and safety planning, adherence to agency policies, and compliance with all MassHealth, MBHP, and licensing regulations. Evening and occasional weekend availability is required to meet family needs and program expectations. Responsibilities • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations to determine individual treatment needs., • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans utilizing modalities such as psychotherapy, behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and group therapy., • Provide individual, family, and group counseling sessions in clients' homes or via telehealth platforms., • Utilize crisis intervention strategies to manage urgent mental health situations effectively., • Maintain accurate medical documentation adhering to HIPAA regulations and medical terminology standards., • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including case managers, medical professionals, and educational staff to coordinate comprehensive care., • Engage in research activities related to clinical practices and behavioral health outcomes., • Manage ICD-9/ICD-10 coding for diagnoses and CPT coding for billing purposes., • Support clients with special needs such as autism spectrum disorder or developmental disabilities through applied behavior analysis and behavior management techniques., • Proven experience in psychotherapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, or related modalities., • Strong skills in crisis management, crisis intervention, and behavior management strategies., • Experience working with children, adolescents, or geriatrics in outpatient or inpatient settings., • Familiarity with medical records systems, HIPAA compliance, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding, and medical documentation standards., • Ability to conduct intake assessments and diagnostic evaluations accurately., • Knowledge of addiction counseling, grief counseling, PTSD care, chronic pain counseling, and gender issues counseling is a plus., • Experience with telehealth platforms for remote therapy sessions is desirable., • Excellent communication skills for engaging clients effectively across diverse populations including those with disabilities or special education needs., • 401(k), • Flexible schedule, • Health insurance, • Paid time off, • Vision insurance Application Question(s): • Master's degree in counseling, psychology, or Social Work Education: • Master's (Preferred) Work Location: In person By applying to this job, you agree to receive periodic text messages from this employer and Homebase about your pending job application.
