About the Role This is an in-office position located in Northborough, Massachusetts. The Paralegal plays a vital role in helping our attorneys serve clients efficiently and effectively. In this position, you will prepare estate planning documents, assist with probate administration, support Medicaid applications, and coordinate asset transfers. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of experience in estate planning and probate, demonstrates strong attention to detail, and is comfortable managing client communication while maintaining accuracy and organization across multiple matters. Experience with WealthCounsel is highly valued. Compensation: $65,000 - $75,000 annually DOE Responsibilities: Estate Planning Support • Draft estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, and related planning documents, • Prepare deeds and assist with property transfers, • Record and e-record deeds, • Assist clients with transferring and retitling assets, • Organize client information and documentation for estate planning matters Probate & Fiduciary Administration • Prepare probate court filings, • Prepare asset inventories and accounting, • Draft documentation necessary to collect or transfer assets during probate administration, • Communicate with financial institutions and other third parties to facilitate asset collection Medicaid & Long-Term Care Planning Support • Draft court documents, draft estate planning documents, gather documentation for and draft Medicaid applications, indexes, chronologies; prepare contracts; draft letters and court documents; prepare deeds, fill out legal forms; asset tracking and prepare forms to transfer or claim assets; write reports, etc, • Monitor the status of Medicaid applications and keep track of deadlines, • Prepare court documents and Medicaid applications Case Management & Client Communication • Maintain communication with clients to gather information and provide updates, • Monitor case progress and ensure deadlines are met, • Keep attorneys apprised of case status and upcoming deadlines, • Maintain accurate records within the firm’s case management system, • Track billable and non-billable time as requiredQualifications:, • 3–5 years of experience as an estate planning or probate paralegal, • Strong experience drafting estate planning and probate documents, • Experience in preparing and recording deeds, • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel, • Experience with WealthCounsel strongly preferred, • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, • Ability to manage multiple matters while maintaining accuracy Personality Traits That Thrive in This Role We are looking for someone who brings both compassion and professionalism to their work.
