Job Description Director of Life Enrichment – Full Time | $72,000–$75,000 Annually| Worcester, MA The Briarwood Community is hiring a Director of Life Enrichment to lead and elevate programming for our Independent Living and Assisted Living residents. This full-time, salaried role ($72,000–$75,000 annually) is an exciting opportunity for a creative, resident-focused leader with strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills who is passionate about enriching the lives of older adults. This position requires flexibility, including occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on programming and community needs. Key Responsibilities * Provide strategic leadership and planning for Life Enrichment programs aligned with community goals and occupancy enhancement. * Plan, develop, and maintain engaging daily, weekly, and monthly activity calendars addressing all dimensions of wellness: social, emotional, physical, spiritual, and educational. * Execute in-house and off-site programs, including outings, guest speakers, holiday celebrations, arts, games, and special events. * Conduct personalized resident assessments shortly after move-in to identify interests, history, skills, and preferences. * Evaluate program effectiveness through surveys, data analysis, and resident feedback; adjust programming to ensure continuous improvement. * Recruit, train, and manage volunteers to support high-quality resident engagement. * Manage the Life Enrichment budget, including supply ordering, inventory, expense tracking, and transportation logistics. * Prepare and distribute monthly calendars, newsletters, and promotional materials for residents and families. * Collaborate closely with Marketing, Sales, and Executive Leadership to position Life Enrichment programming as a key driver of occupancy and resident satisfaction. * Develop and maintain relationships with community organizations, partners, and resources to enhance programming. * Oversee transportation coordination in partnership with the Transportation Manager, ensuring adequate coverage for activities, medical visits, and community outings. Qualifications * Strong sense of caring, responsibility, and moral integrity; compassion and patience are essential. * High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred. * Minimum of 2+ years of leadership experience in senior living activities or life enrichment; volunteer management experience strongly preferred. * Current CPR/First Aid certification and valid driver’s license. * Experience driving a 12–15 passenger van and assisting physically challenged seniors with safe transportation. * Ability to operate and troubleshoot audio-visual equipment. * Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Publisher, Adobe Suite, and Canva (desktop publishing). * Strong communication, creativity, organization, budget management, and interpersonal skills. * Proven leadership ability with a collaborative, team-oriented approach. * Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
