Job DescriptionJob Title: Production Associate Job Description The Production Associate plays a hands-on role in food processing, grading, and packaging within a temperature-controlled, cold-storage environment. Working on an assembly line, this position focuses on preparing seafood products to precise specifications while maintaining high standards of food safety, quality, and sanitation. Responsibilities • Cut, clean, trim, and portion seafood products according to established company specifications and quality standards., • Sort and grade raw materials and finished goods by size, weight, and overall quality to ensure consistent product output., • Package products into trays, bags, or boxes and operate automated vacuum sealing machinery to prepare items for retail and wholesale distribution., • Apply accurate weight, date, and product labels to finished packages, ensuring full compliance with regulatory and internal requirements., • Clean and sanitize work surfaces, tools, and machinery daily to prevent cross-contamination and maintain a hygienic production environment., • Follow strict Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) guidelines throughout all processing activities., • Wear and correctly use mandatory personal protective equipment (PPE), including hairnets, smocks, gloves, and boots, at all times in the production area., • Notify supervisors immediately of any machinery malfunctions, safety concerns, or product quality issues to support timely resolution., • Work efficiently on a moving conveyor line, maintaining productivity and accuracy in a fast-paced, repetitive production setting., • Support general production and labor tasks as needed to keep the assembly line operating smoothly and meet production targets.Essential Skills, • Hands-on production experience in general labor or general production environments., • Ability to follow strict HACCP and GMP food safety guidelines consistently., • Capability to work effectively in a cold, refrigerated environment maintained between 30 and 40 degrees., • Physical stamina to stand and walk on concrete floors for the duration of an 8-to-10-hour shift., • Physical strength to routinely lift, push, and pull crates or boxes weighing up to 50 pounds., • Manual dexterity to perform fast-paced, repetitive hand and wrist movements on a moving conveyor line., • Attention to detail to ensure accurate sorting, grading, packaging, and labeling of products., • Reliability in following established procedures and reporting issues promptly to supervisors.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Experience working in food processing or seafood production environments., • Familiarity with automated vacuum packaging machinery and assembly line operations., • Comfort with wearing required PPE such as hairnets, smocks, gloves, and boots for the entire shift., • Basic understanding of quality control principles in a manufacturing or food production setting., • Willingness to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining focus, accuracy, and speed., • Ability to work collaboratively with team members in a structured production environment.Why Work Here? The environment is structured and process-driven, with a strong emphasis on food safety and cleanliness. You will use tools and automated vacuum packaging machinery and are required to wear personal protective equipment, including hairnets, smocks, gloves, and boots, for the duration of your shift to maintain hygiene and safety standards. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Doral, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
