Job DescriptionDescription: Student Oversight • Provide direct supervision and support to students throughout the school day to ensure safety and adherence to recovery and academic-based expectations., • Monitor student behavior, implementing appropriate interventions to promote emotional regulation and positive coping skills., • Build supportive, professional relationships with students to encourage engagement in academics, peer relationships, and personal growth., • Facilitate peer support and mentorship opportunities within the school community., • Assist students with activities of daily school day; utilize trauma-informed and de-escalation techniques to support students experiencing emotional distress or crisis., • Implement safety protocols and crisis intervention strategies when necessary, ensuring a calm and supportive response., • Support conflict resolution among students using restorative justice and social-emotional learning principles., • Assist in the implementation of individualized recovery plans, behavioral intervention strategies, and student support plans., • Collaborate with the recovery and educational teams to address student needs, including crisis prevention, intervention, and de-escalation., • Encourage participation in recovery-related activities, including 12-step meetings, peer support groups, and wellness programs., • Observe and document student behavior, mood changes, or potential relapse indicators, reporting concerns to the recovery and educational team., • Work closely with teachers, recovery coaches, and recovery staff to ensure students' academic and emotional needs are met., • Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and student support planning sessions., • Maintain clear and professional communication with students, staff, and families while upholding confidentiality standards., • Attend staff training on trauma-informed care, recovery support, crisis intervention, and behavioral health best practices., • Adhere to all school policies, ethical guidelines, and state/federal regulations regarding student confidentiality and rights., • High school diploma or equivalent, • Minimum of one year of experience in social services, substance use disorder support, or a related field., • Strong understanding of recovery principles and trauma-informed care., • Knowledge of applicable state and federal regulations regarding substance use services and peer recovery models., • Experience in program development, supervision, and performance evaluation., • Must have a valid Texas driver license, a minimum of six (6) years of driving experience, and a clean driving record., • Applicants must be twenty-three (23) years of age or older to comply with Rise Recovery’s insurance requirements., • Must maintain automobile insurance coverage, be able to travel as needed, and be able to meet on a consistent basis the driving record requirements of Rise Recovery’s auto insurance carrier if personal vehicle is driven during company business., • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, education, or a related field, • Lived experience in recovery or familiarity with recovery communities, • Experience working with youth in recovery, behavioral health, education, or social service, • Strong leadership and team-building skills., • Excellent written and verbal communication., • Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain organization in a fast-paced environment., • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications., • Ability to relate respectfully to individuals from diverse backgrounds., • Must be able to meet the physical requirements to complete SAMA and CPR training including lifting up to 12 lbs. and supporting up to 55 lbs.; bending, stooping, and getting on and off the floor without assistance., • Ability to walk, stand, sit for short or long periods of time., • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer., • School-based setting with classroom, common areas, and outdoor supervision responsibilities Regularly scheduled hours may vary during periods of workload fluctuation., • Occasional night, weekend and holiday hours may be necessary to support additional recovery programming and/or Rise Recovery events.
