Job DescriptionWell Established Client In Midland, Tx is seeking a: Job Title: Receiving CoordinatorPosition PurposeThe Receiving Coordinator ensures accurate, efficient, and safe processing of all inbound materials. This position maintains traceability, organizes receiving workflows, and supports operational productivity across the pipe yard.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesReceiving, Verification & Inspection • Coordinate inbound truck arrivals and assign unload locations, • Verify materials against purchase orders and shipping documents, • Confirm quantities, pipe sizes, grades, heat numbers, and coatings, • Report visual inspections for damage, defects, or nonconformances, • Immediately report discrepancies to Inventory, QC, and ManagementDocumentation & Inventory Accuracy, • Prepare accurate receiving reports, • Upload data into ERP or yard management systems, • Ensure all MTRs, BOLs, packing lists, and receiving documents are complete, • Tag or label documents to maintain full traceability, • Support inventory cycle counts and correctionsCoordination With Yard Crew, • Communicate unloading instructions to forklift, loader, or crane operators, • Manage traffic flow and ensure safe truck movements, • Store pipe for QC, storage, or outbound orders, • Assist in maintaining a clean, organized receiving areaSafety & Compliance, • Enforce PPE rules and yard safety protocols, • Stop unsafe unloading or rigging activity, • Comply with API, customer, and internal quality standards, • Segregate nonconforming materialsCustomer & Vendor Interaction, • Check in drivers and validate paperwork, • Resolve shipping discrepancies professionally, • Provide updates to dispatch, inventory, or managementQualifications, • 2+ year’s experience in a pipe yard, manufacturing, or warehouse environment (preferred), • Understanding of pipe terminology (OD, wall thickness, grade, heat #, joints), (preferred), • Ability to read BOLs, packing lists, and MTRs (preferred), • Proficiency with email, Excel, scanners, ERP systems, • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, • Effective communication skills with crews and drivers, • Strong attention to detail with commitment to accuracy and quality, • Skilled in coordinating and communicating with external teams and partners to support smooth operations and customer satisfactionPhysical Requirements, • Lift up to 50 lbs. occasionallyKey Competencies, • Attention to Detail, • Accuracy, • Safety Mindset, • Communication, • Time Management, • Reliability / Dependability, • Problem Solving, • Workload management and Concentration, • Data Checking, • Verbal Skills
