Paschen has created a robust Internship Program that provides students pursuing construction, or other curriculums within the built environment, with the opportunity to gain knowledge, work experience and an advantage over their peers at graduation. Job Description Are you READY to take your career to the next level? We’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Staff Accountant to join our accounting team to help keep our financial operations running smoothly. Key Responsibilities: * Perform reconciliations in Quickbooks, Sage and bank statements * Help maintain accurate general ledger records and assist with month-end close * Reconcile corporate credit card(s) statements and prepare and oversee credit applications * Assist with subcontractor compliance tracking (W-9s, insurance, lien waivers) * Record overhead expenses such as per diem, direct charges, 1099 contractor payments, legal and accounting fees, rent, and other applicable costs. * Send all invoices to Accounts Payable, review any related notices, and follow up with subcontractors to assist in collecting UW documentation or payments. * Alert manager(s) of any outstanding material payments owed by subcontractors * Handle mail duties and scan invoices * Maintain organized digital and physical accounting files * Perform other accounting duties as assigned Qualification & Requirements: * Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills * Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting software a plus * Excellent communication and time management skills * Willingness to learn and grow within the construction industry We believe that our success depends on the talent, dedication, and expertise of our team.
