About the Role The Afterhours Operations Manager leads our Afterhours St. Louis Division in a fast-paced, 24/7 courier environment. This role blends strategic leadership with hands-on execution, ensuring strong operational performance, safety, service quality, and profitability. You’ll be responsible for leading people, optimizing operations, and driving continuous improvement while delivering exceptional customer service. What You’ll Do • Lead and manage the Afterhours St. Louis Division in alignment with company goals and operational standards, • Develop and execute business plans that optimize daily operations and support division growth, • Coach, mentor, and develop team members to build a high-performance culture, • Partner with the Regional Operations Manager on budgeting, cost control, and profitability, • Drive operational excellence by meeting and exceeding KPIs and leading continuous improvement initiatives, • Collaborate with HR on hiring, onboarding, employee relations, and staff development, • Build and maintain strong client relationships while ensuring SLAs are consistently met, • Oversee workforce planning, staffing, and scheduling to ensure coverage and compliance, • Partner with other Operations Managers to maintain excellence across all shifts, • Step in as needed, including occasional deliveries, to ensure customers receive exceptional service What We’re Looking For Required Qualifications • High school diploma and 5+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, courier operations, or another fast-paced industry, • 3+ years of management or leadership experience, • Experience managing budgets and financial performance, • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making skills, • Proven ability to lead teams, manage conflict, and communicate at all levels, • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint) and ability to learn new systems quickly, • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field Why Crossroads Courier? • Competitive starting pay with clear growth potential, • Health, dental, and vision insurance, plus 401(k) with company match., • Tuition reimbursement and professional development opportunities, • Generous paid time off: Vacation, sick leave, and holidays, • A chance to join a company where your ambition and performance are recognized and rewarded, • A values-driven, people-first culture, • A chance to see your work make a real impact... fast!
