Job Description Valley West Mortgage is the premier, and a top-rated, Mortgage Lender in Las Vegas, NV. We are searching for a Mortgage Processor to help grow our professional family. ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: • Oversee the loan file from initial application through final clear-to-close and funding., • Monitor and ensure all closing dates and deadlines are met., • Process residential mortgage loans (Conventional, FHA, VA, Purchase, and Refinance) in a manner consistent with all company policies and procedures and state, and federal regulatory requirements for 33 states., • Obtain and review required loan documentation to submit complete loan packages to Underwriting., • Capable of managing a pipeline of 40+ loans on a monthly basis., • Provide excellent customer service by effectively communicating and cooperating with all internal and external customers., • Obtain and verify all underwriting conditions are received and cleared by the Underwriter, Doc Drawer, and Funder., • Prepare the file for submission to the Closing Department., • Keep up to date on all changes in policies and procedures, standards and regulations applicable to the company, and the industry. Includes applying local, state and federal regulations related to processing mortgage loans., • Manage the closing for all locked loans authorized to sign., • 3+ Years of current residential mortgage processing experience. Retail, wholesale and correspondent experience preferred, • Experience processing Conventional and Government loans., • Excellent customer service skills, • Ability to prioritize and work independently with minimal supervision, • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, etc., • Excellent communication skills both written and oral, • Ability to work in a fast-paced fluid environment, • High level of integrity and confidentiality required **Salary is dependent upon qualifications and will be discussed during the interview process. The Senior QC Underwriter is responsible for overseeing and executing quality control procedures across operational workflows, with a focus on accuracy, compliance, and process improvement. This role is critical in minimizing risk and maintaining the quality standards required in a compliance-heavy, high-volume environment. This position reports to the Vice President of Enterprise Risk. This is an in-office position based out of our Huntersville, NC - Denver, CO - OR Las Vegas, NV office. Essential Functions: • Lead day-to-day quality control activities across operational and data entry teams, • Audit and verify accuracy of underwriting and due diligence quality, document compliance, customer agreements, case data, and payment terms, • Assist in the development and maintenance of QC processes, checklists, audit tools, and reporting dashboards, • Identify trends and recurring issues, and recommend process or training improvements, • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (legal, operations, law firm and medical provider relations) to resolve discrepancies and ensure process alignment, • Mentor Junior QC underwriters, as needed, • Provide quality performance reports to management and senior leaders, • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience), • 3+ years of experience in underwriting, auditing, or operations within consumer funding, healthcare, or legal/insurance industries, • Strong knowledge of financing processes, HIPAA, documentation standards a plus, • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills, • Excellent problem-solving and prioritization skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines, • Strong written and verbal communication skills, • Experience with case management software or document management systems, • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools, • Leadership experience is a plus We offer competitive compensation and benefits that include medical, dental, vision, life insurance plans, 401k with company match and paid time off.
