Job DescriptionJob Title: Electrical ForemanJob Description This role leads electrical field activities on construction projects, with a strong focus on conduit installation, wiring, troubleshooting, and layout. The Electrical Foreman oversees roughing in apartments, coordinates wire pulling and conduit bending, interprets blueprints, and ensures work meets safety and quality standards on busy job sites. Responsibilities • Lead day-to-day electrical installation activities on site, ensuring all work meets project specifications and safety standards., • Perform and oversee pipe bending and EMT bending for various electrical installations., • Install and rough in apartments, including MC and BX cable pulling, conduit runs, and electrical boxes., • Interpret and work from blueprints and construction drawings to lay out conduit, wiring, and equipment locations., • Coordinate and perform conduit installation, including layout, measuring, cutting, and bending to fit complex pathways., • Supervise and participate in wiring activities, including branch circuits, feeders, and control wiring., • Perform troubleshooting on electrical systems, identifying and resolving faults, issues, and performance problems., • Install and configure three-way switches and other switching arrangements according to code and design requirements., • Support generator installations and related electrical connections as needed., • Guide and mentor electricians and electrical mechanics on proper installation practices and safety procedures., • Ensure all work complies with OSHA, site safety requirements, and project-specific safety programs., • Coordinate with other trades and site supervision to sequence work efficiently and minimize rework., • Maintain accurate layout and as-built documentation as required by the project., • Use tools and equipment safely and ensure the crew follows all PPE and tool requirements., • Support enhanced onboarding processes for new team members and help integrate them into site procedures.Essential Skills, • 510 years of electrical experience in construction environments., • Proficiency in conduit bending, including EMT and other conduit systems., • Strong experience with MC and BX cable pulling and apartment roughing., • Ability to read, interpret, and work from blueprints and construction drawings., • Hands-on experience with conduit layout and installation., • Demonstrated troubleshooting skills for electrical systems and circuits., • Proficiency in wiring, including branch circuits, feeders, and control circuits., • Experience installing and configuring three-way switches., • Background as a journeyman electrician, lead electrician, or similar role., • OSHA 30 certification., • SST 10 certification., • Solid understanding of electrical codes and safe work practices., • Ability to lead and coordinate field crews on active construction sites.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Experience as an electrical mechanic or similar field role., • Prior experience working with generators and associated electrical connections., • Capability to perform detailed layout work for conduit and equipment placement., • Experience working with large commercial or multi-unit residential projects., • Strong communication skills to coordinate with site supervision and other trades., • Ability to train and mentor junior electricians and helpers., • Comfort working in fast-paced, high-volume construction environments.Why Work Here? Work Environment This position is based on an active construction site at 180 Ashland Place, with a standard start time of 7:00 a.m. and an expectation to be on site and ready by 6:30 a.m. The role involves working in a field environment with typical construction site conditions, including exposure to noise, dust, and varying weather depending on project phase. You will use a full set of electrical tools and equipment in accordance with a defined tool list and must wear full personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times. The company provides an enhanced onboarding process to familiarize you with site-specific safety requirements, procedures, and expectations. Work is hands-on and physically active, requiring regular use of ladders, lifts, and hand and power tools while maintaining strict adherence to safety protocols. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New York, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $38.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
