Position Summary: The Senior Internal Auditor plays a critical role in evaluating and enhancing the organization's operational and financial controls, ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and internal policies. This position conducts risk-based audits across business units, collaborates with regional and global teams, and provides actionable recommendations to mitigate risks and improve governance. The Senior Internal Auditor also supports continuous improvement of audit methodologies and compliance frameworks, while fostering a culture of accountability and transparency. Responsibilities: Audit Execution & Risk Assessment • Plan, execute, and manage internal audits across multiple business units and locations, including control testing, transaction reviews, and risk assessments., • Evaluate internal controls and operational processes to identify risks, irregularities, and improvement opportunities., • Assist in audit logistics and scheduling, ensuring minimal disruption to site operations., • Prepare clear, comprehensive audit reports and communicate findings to stakeholders at all levels., • Serve as a liaison between audit teams and business units, ensuring audit objectives are understood and outcomes are actionable., • Ensure audits align with applicable regulations, internal policies, and the Kuraray audit manual., • Stay current on industry standards and provide guidance on interpreting compliance requirements., • Contribute to the development and refinement of audit methodologies, test procedures, and quality initiatives., • Manage multiple audit assignments, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a dynamic, evolving role., • Travel up to 20% domestically and internationally to support audits across various locations., • Pursue ongoing professional development and support knowledge sharing within the audit team. Stakeholder Engagement & Cultural Awareness • Build strong relationships with cross-functional teams (e.g., Quality, Production, Maintenance, Procurement, HR)., • Perform other duties as assigned to support the evolving needs of the internal audit function and broader business objectives Minimum Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, • Minimum of 7 years of relevant internal audit experience, • Minimum of 3 years of experience conducting audits in manufacturing, petrochemical, or similarly regulated industries is advantageous., • Professional certifications such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CIA (Certified Internal Auditor) are preferred., • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability to present audit findings and recommendations effectively to all organizational levels., • Willingness to travel 20% domestically and internationally, • Skilled at prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects to meet deadlines., • Strong problem-solving and sound decision-making abilities., • Capable of handling multiple responsibilities simultaneously., • Candidates must have a valid driver's license.
