Job Description Greater Phoenix Chamber Foundation The Greater Phoenix Chamber Foundation (the Foundation) convenes and catalyzes business, education, and community to enhance college and career readiness, develop a stronger workforce, and build healthier communities throughout Arizona. The Foundation, a 501c3 nonprofit organization, leads the charitable and educational initiatives of the Greater Phoenix Chamber under the four pillars of education, workforce development, wellness, and research. Through stronger alignment between education, business, and community, the Foundation prepares individuals for college and career and serves as an intermediary to convey workforce needs and champion scalable workforce solutions. In addition, the Foundation makes Arizona and the Greater Phoenix region known as destinations for healthy talent and healthy communities through workplace wellness efforts and publishes data-driven research to inform policymakers, business leaders, and the general public. Primary Responsibilities: The Foundation is looking for a Grants Manager to track, monitor, and report on grant applications and awards. The ideal candidate will have a background in grants management and/or accounting. The candidate will communicate in a strong, positive, and effective manner, both verbally and non-verbally, and be a self-starter who can sustain and move work forward with minimal direction. All Chamber employees are expected to work collaboratively with other departments and be team players to help accomplish our organizational mission. Position Objectives: • Serve as the project manager for all grant proposals, working with external grant writers, internal departments, and external agencies to develop comprehensive grant proposals., • Provide high-level financial management support, including budgetary/financial planning and analysis, payroll reconciliation, account management, processing of salary reallocations and costings, and financial planning for grant purposes., • Prepare and submit grant narrative and financial reports, budget amendment requests, and recurring invoices for completed grant work to grantor agencies., • Review expenditures, advise on post-award spending and commitment activity, and oversee compliance related to grant funds., • Develop and communicate reports supporting project status; create effective forecasting and decision aids., • Participate in the contract closeout process; submit final reports and certificates. Compile information and documents needed for audit inquiries., • Work with the grant writer to maintain a calendar to ensure timely submissions of letters of inquiry, proposal deadlines, and reports., • Monitor and track submitted, pending, and ongoing proposals through the donor management system., • Maintain schedule for active and inactive grants: including expected amounts from donors, amounts paid from donors, amounts spent down from the grant, amounts available in cash, and amounts of AR outstanding., • Create and maintain organized and accurate files for grants and grant relationships., • Minimum of two years of work experience in grants management, accounting, and/or project management., • Must hold a Bachelor’s degree; finance, accounting, or business degree preferred, • Must have a strong understanding of accounting, including budgeting, financial reporting, and cost accounting., • Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to establish professional relationships, • Must possess analytical ability to solve problems, anticipate challenges, and identify opportunities and solutions, • Must be able to provide superior customer service to both internal and external customers at all levels of an organization, • Detail-oriented with the ability to stay organized while handling multiple tasks.
