Paragon provides a unique opportunity for a System Administrator to support critical infrastructure as both an individual contributor and a collaborative member of our team. The company has approximately 35 employees, most of whom are local to the North Dallas area. At Paragon, we rely on our IT systems to help our business reach and succeed with clients all over the country. In this role, the successful individual will: • Be fully accountable and responsible for the IT infrastructure, including cloud services and user support, • Protect critical information, systems, and assets through strong security and compliance practices, • Implement and manage new software, hardware, and cloud-based technologies, • Provide user training and high-quality help desk support, • Develop and execute a long-term IT strategy aligned with business goals Objectives of this Role: • Maintain essential IT operations including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, onboarding, email systems, laptops/desktops/phones, software, and hardware, • Own projects, solutions, and key responsibilities within broader business initiatives, • Support business-critical IT tasks and systems with a focus on uptime and reliability, • Enable smarter business processes through improved tools, automation, and analytics, • Facilitate reliable and redundant infrastructure to maximize uptime, • Serve as the first point of contact for user support tickets, troubleshooting technicial issues, performing root-cause analysis, and documenting solutions in a knowledge base., • Perform administrative tasks including user and group administration, security permissions, group policies, print services, event log warnings and errors, resource monitoring, and ensuring system compatibility, • Manage identity, device, and application policies via Microsoft Intune, Entra ID, and Azure, • Monitor system health and respond to hardware issues, • Build, test, and maintain new systems as needed, • Maintain internal infrastructure requirements including laptop/desktop/phones, servers, routers, switches, firewalls, printers, and security updates; support internet, intranet, LANs, WANs, and network segments, • Required:, • BA/BS degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or IT equivalent, • Strong experience with Microsoft Intune, Entra ID, and Azure administration, • Strong Microsoft 365 administration and support including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and licensing, • Hands-on experience with Windows, Linux, and macOS installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and support, • Advanced working knowledge of cloud-sync applications - particularly OneDrive, SharePoint, and Dropbox, including deployment and conflict resolution, • Solid understanding of backup methodologies, snapshots, retention policies, and disaster recovery planning, • Experience managing access control lists (ACLs), conditional access, permissions, and security policies, • Familiarity with CRM platforms and supporting them in a production environment (e.g., Zoho, EspoCRM, or similar), • Minimum of 3 years of professional IT experience in a systems, network, or support role, • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document processes and guide end- users, • Ability to lift at least 40 pounds and handle physical hardware installation when necessary, • Preferred:, • Experience with Ubiquiti UniFi networking (access points, switches, VPN, design, troubleshooting, etc.), • Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), • Supporting AutoCAD in a production environment (licensing, performance, file storage considerations, etc.), • Microsoft Teams Phone System configuration and troubleshooting, • Scripting proficiency in Powershell, Python, MySQL, PHP, and/or Javascript, • Experience with SSO, LDAP, Radius, and identity federation, • Knowledge of system imaging technologies, automated deployment, and lifecycle management, • Familiarity with virtualization platforms (e.g. Hyper-V, VMware) Work will be performed on-site in the office. This position includes after-hours responsibilities in emergency situations and quarterly weekend maintenance, but standard work hours will fall somewhere in-between 8 AM and 6 PM.
