Job DescriptionNesco Resource is looking for a Warehouse Associate: ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES/FUNCTIONS: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. • Complete safety training and follow all safety rules., • Safely operate forklift at all times., • Operate forklift to pull/receive inventory from/into specific locations in the warehouse, • Pull/receive accurate count of product for each pick/receipt., • Responsible for reporting any product, equipment or forklift damage to the supervisor immediately., • May also provide support for production in the staging components., • Handle inventory individually by placing onto pallet(s) to complete shipment/receipt per work order/instructions., • Shrink wrap pallets to secure product using hand, shrink wrapper, or automated pallet wrapper., • Secure the load by bracing and blocking the product with pneumatic or small tools., • Alert respective Supervisor of any problems with orders being pulled, loaded or shipped., • For shipments, must follow the Process Sheet (i.e., what country the product is being shipped to, Job #, what product should be shipped, etc.) for each country., • Maintain assigned aisle in warehouse area for cleanliness and organization., • Comply with Company SOPs and Policies., • Participate in year-end inventory by helping with the counting of product and literature, working overtime if necessary., • Assist the front office in moving/delivering items when requested., • Assist other departments when requested., • Assist in replacement of racks and/or beams in warehouse., • Knowledge of safe forklift operation or able to be trained to drive a forklift safely., • Ability to read and write English to read and follow procedures and equipment instructions., • Good math skills to measure and count product., • Accurate and legible record-keeping skills., • Be familiar with the use of Automated Process Control Inventory System (computer bar code system) as it pertains to the Shipping Department., • Knowledge of use of hand tools to ensure proper bracing of containers and/or trailers. (i.e., nail, hammer, air hose, etc.) PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS TO PERFORM JOB DUTIES:, • Lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis., • Good hand/eye coordination., • Safely fit into the forklift., • Able to use hand tools., • Manual dexterity skills to use hand tools., • Able to use controls (gears and mechanisms) to operate and drive forklift., • Sit, stand/remain seated and lift for long periods of time., • Bend, squat, kneel, balance, turn and stoop., • Reach forward and overhead., • Able to climb ladders. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO PERFORM JOB DUTIES:, • High school diploma or GED required., • 6 months to 2 years of work experience in a similar work environment., • Prior warehouse safety training preferred.
