Job Description Job Title: Material Handler/Forklift Operator Job Description The Material Handler will support the shop flow by managing all parts, ensuring fitters have what they require to fabricate assemblies. This role involves recording and updating parts tracking software via tablet, pulling parts and placing them in bins based on the bill of materials, and moving pulled part bins to the shop floor as directed. Responsibilities • Manage and organize all parts to support shop flow., • Record and update parts tracking software using a tablet., • Pull parts and place them in bins according to the bill of materials., • Move pulled part bins to the shop floor as directed., • Ensure fitters have necessary parts for fabricating assemblies., • Receive and sort all cut-to-size plates., • Ability to perform heavy lifting of up to 75 lbs., • Manufacturing experience., • Proficiency with hand tools., • Experience with inventory management., • Ability to operate overhead cranes and forklifts (prior experience not required)., • Firm understanding of shop drawings, cut lists, and industrial safety., • Basic math and geometry skills. Work Environment The work environment is a manufacturing/fabrication shop that is not fully climate-controlled. Employees will be working inside and outside, including in cold conditions. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Airway Heights, WA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
