Job Description General Summary: We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our interdisciplinary team in a school-like setting serving students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other developmental needs. The NP will provide advanced clinical oversight, direct care, and consultation to support the health, safety, and well-being of students with complex medical and behavioral profiles. As a medical leader on-site, the NP will collaborate with families, staff, and external healthcare providers to ensure high-quality, coordinated care. Work Environment: • School-like setting serving students with varied levels of behavioral and medical needs., • Collaborative work with educators, therapists, and external medical professionals., • Licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) in Colorado, with current and unrestricted license., • Certification in Pediatric, Family, or School-based practice preferred., • Current CPR/BLS certification (ACLS or PALS a plus)., • Experience working with children and adolescents, particularly those with ASD or developmental disabilities, highly preferred., • Clinical expertise in managing complex medical conditions including G-tubes, seizures, and anaphylaxis., • Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance (HIPAA, QMAP, FERPA), school health law, and medication safety protocols., • Proven leadership, communication, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills., • Ability to perform well under pressure and make sound clinical decisions in emergency situations., • Maintaining confidentiality of staff, clients, and their families., • Ability to meet deadlines and independently manage tasks., • Knowledge and experience with assistive technology., • Experience working with individuals on the Autism Spectrum., • Experience training and supervising QMAP staff., • Experience training Standard Precautions. Daily: • Administer or delegate administration of medications and treatments per physician orders, standing orders, and QMAP standards., • Provide clinical oversight for students requiring G-tube care, seizure management, allergy response, and other specialized medical needs., • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized health care plans, Seizure Action Plans, and Emergency Allergy Plans., • Deliver emergency medical care on-site including CPR and first aid, and lead staff response protocols during critical incidents., • Supervise infection control practices, safety protocols, and standard precautions across the program., • Act as a primary liaison with physicians, specialists, therapists, and families to ensure continuity and coordination of care., • Monitor and guide staff in conducting daily health checks, identifying concerns, and escalating appropriately., • Participate in employee health and safety processes, including workers’ compensation evaluations and documentation., • Oversee and coordinate all aspects of student healthcare, ensuring adherence to current clinical guidelines, HIPAA regulations, and state health laws., • Ensure all medical documentation is current, thorough, and compliant with regulatory standards., • Serve as a resource and mentor to direct care staff, RNs, and QMAPs on clinical issues and care planning., • Manage inventory, compliance, and proper storage of all medications and medical supplies, including routine audits of storage areas and temperature logs., • Attend IEP and care planning meetings as a medical expert to contribute to holistic student support., • Lead and deliver medical training to staff, including medication administration, emergency response, and universal precautions., • Conduct staff health evaluations upon hire, including required screenings, immunization review, and documentation., • Provide advanced assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning for students with diverse and complex medical needs., • Eligible for $1000 CEU funds in their first year of employment (*Please note CE Funds are to be paid back if the employee leaves the company within a year of use)., • Annual Trauma Informed Care and Cultural Sensitivity, • Annual Sexual Harassment Training, • FEMA, HIPAA and MANE Training., • Able to do the following for extended periods of time:, • Sit, • kneel on floor, • Stand, • Walk, • Run, • Able to physically manage teenagers/young adults, provide physical guidance, physical prompts, and bending., • Able to do frequent bending to accommodate and assist clients., • Pre-Employment Background Check, • Annual Physical #ZR Monday - Friday 8 am - 4 pm
