Job Description ABOUT THE PRACTICE: Our organization stands at the forefront of comprehensive pain management, delivering empathetic, multimodal care to patients throughout the Mid-South. With a legacy of innovation and clinical excellence spanning decades, our team is dedicated to pioneering treatments that empower individuals to regain functionality and enhance their quality of life. Founded in the early 1980s by anesthesiologist Dr. Kit S. Mays and neurologist Dr. Moacir Schnapp, our practice expanded in 1993 to include an onsite ambulatory surgery center, establishing itself as the oldest and most respected pain management facility in the Mid-South. We believe that the most effective treatment arises from a multimodal approach aimed at alleviating pain, restoring function, and enhancing overall quality of life. Since 1989, we have been recognized and certified by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), making us the only CARF-certified interdisciplinary pain rehabilitation outpatient program in the state and the entire region. Currently, our skilled medical team continues to grow, both in personnel and locations. Our multimodal treatment philosophy may encompass a variety of techniques, including nerve blocks, radiofrequency ablation, advanced procedures, physical therapy, and additional therapies. We are committed to providing advanced, personalized care to assist patients in managing their pain effectively. Located in the picturesque East Memphis, we expanded in 2020 with a second site in Southaven, Mississippi, and further broadened our reach in 2024 by opening an office in Jackson, Tennessee. Our dedicated team comprises five interventional pain physicians, nine advanced practice providers, and four physical therapists. We remain committed to our founders' successful treatment philosophy, focusing on achieving optimal outcomes through a multimodal approach to pain relief, functional restoration, and quality of life enhancement. Purpose of Position and Scope of Responsibility: Pain management physicians are responsible for assessing patients to identify the sources of their discomfort and formulating treatment plans that minimize pain effects, enabling patients to return to their regular activities as much as possible. This role necessitates a comprehensive understanding and active engagement in fulfilling the organization's mission.
