Job Description POSITION SUMMARY: The Digital Communications Coordinator (DCC) for the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur East-West Province (SNDdeN-EW) plays a critical role as part of the Communications team. The position will be responsible for planning, posting and analyzing content for all communication platforms, in a manner that is clear, engaging and meaningful to all audiences, including internal and external audiences. Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Communications, the DCC is a strong writer who adheres to the traditional tenets of journalism (following AP Style) and effectively combines text, images, video and graphics to tell the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur's story and support the U.S. East-West Leadership Team (EWLT). The DCC writes and coordinates content for social media posts, the website, news releases, and external and internal publications. The position is part of a Communications team that works in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: • Creates content for social media, website and print publications as directed by the Director of MarComm and in collaboration with the Senior Manager of MarComm and the Creative Services Associate (CSA), • Creates and edits newsletters for internal and external audiences, • Manages obituary content on the website, working with Support Coordinators to finalize, • Works with the Director of MarComm, Senior Manager of MarComm, and CSA to develop original ideas for digital content. Translates news stories and events into high-quality content for digital media platforms, • Manages the administration of the annual Jubilarian project, including Feast Day preparations, profile development, photo gathering and interviews, • Monitors SNDdeN First Class accounts for news and content, • Monitors Communications email for follow-up, • Manage content calendar and post to social media channels in connection with editorial calendar planning, • Proactively monitors SNDdeN-EW social media accounts, develops content, and responds to posts, • Proactively monitors SNDdeN-EW Sponsored Ministry accounts for content to be shared and expanded, • Collaborate with Sr Mgr. MarComm to ensure the website is up to date with content and links to external communications, • Researches, writes, copyedits, and proofreads a variety of internal and external copy., • Creates and edits PowerPoint presentations in collaboration with CSA, • Assists with the production of Sowing Goodness magazine, • Assists in the production and editing of videos for interviews, campaigns, events and celebrations, • Assists in managing digital content to ensure proper cataloging and archiving, • Tracks engagement data to inform content and strategy. Prepares digital analytics reports, • Works cross-functionally to support the strategic priorities of the EWLT, • Builds and maintains relationships with Sisters, Associates, NDMV and SNDdeN EW departments and sponsored ministries, • Keeps informed of social and digital media best practices, • Attends training courses to continue professional development, • Attends SNDdeN events to photograph and document, • Serves as an Ambassador to the SNDdeN at events, • Exceptional writing, planning and organizational skills, • Strong understanding of how to communicate and deliver content on multiple platforms, • Proficient in CMS/WordPress, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop/InDesign/Illustrator), Marketing Automation, SEO, Google Ads/Analytics and Social Media platforms., • Ability to shoot and edit video, • Ability to create and post creative social media content, • Ability to compose news stories, articles, special reports, presentations, newsletters, speeches and press releases, • Ability to meet multiple deadlines under pressure, • Bachelor's degree in: Journalism, Communications, Marketing, English or related discipline, • 2+ years of digital media experience, • Strong communication skills with an ability to communicate well at all levels of the organization, and able to demonstrate creative thinking, • Exceptional writing skills., • Prior experience in website development and content management., • Ability to work independently as well as within a team.
