Job DescriptionCompany Description Job Description The Senior Project Manager is the primary individual responsible for oversight and coordination of all assigned WDD projects and project teams. As a key liaison for the WDD design team, the Senior Project Manager is the studio’s project team leader for the project management process at every phase of design and development. The Senior Project Manager leads, and at times guides the internal and external peer consultant team members in the management and interdisciplinary coordination of all design documents and specifications, ensuring the highest quality of design representation for use and coordination by the entire project team. Throughout the design phases, the Senior Project Manager will coordinate with Designers, Senior Designers, and other Project Managers and provide technical input, ensuring that day-to-day production on all assigned projects meets deliverable schedules and project schedules accurately. WDD team members are required on a continual basis to: Contribute to a safe work environment through compliance with established safety guidelines, identifying potential safety hazards, and reporting the same to the appropriate person for proper resolution. Maintain a professional and ethical departmental, company and community reputation and comply with the Company’s policies and procedures. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: • Assist the Director, Design in the leadership and management of the design team through positive interactions, coaching, and guidance., • Provide recommendations for mentoring, coaching, and counseling team members through regular positive and constructive feedback, 1:1’s, training and performance reviews (performance management), • Manage all members of the internal design team to ensure timely, accurate, and collaborative execution of all project deliverables., • Serve as a key liaison to design team and peer consultants for all interdisciplinary consultant and operator coordination as it relates to Project Management., • Direct, review, and record all design changes throughout the project’s design phases. Coordinating with the VP, Design and Director, Design to ensure labor hours and resource allocation adjustments are considered to support these requests., • Coordinate with VP, Design and Director, Design on Requests for Proposal, and either prepare or provide input on Level-of-Effort/Resource Allocation estimates and scope of services required., • Coordinate and provide input on all project logistics with the project team and continually assess design progress, team productivity, and design standards., • Manage the coordination and overall integration of all peer consultant designs and selections into the design documents and specifications, • Assist the project teams with the maintenance and organization of architectural, specification, and CAD documentation, in both digital and printed formats., • Review deliverable requirements and work-in-progress on an ongoing basis and continually engage in update and status-report dialogue with Director, Design to ensure proactive response plans for allocation of resources and delivery of commitments within agreed-upon project schedules and budgets., • Manage, track, and schedule all milestone posting deliverables and coordinate with the project team to ensure completion of the assigned tasks., • Participate in design and documentation quality assurance reviews with the design team before issuance of all milestone deliverable packages., • Proactively plan all “next-step” deliverables throughout the design and coordination process and keep the team apprised of such, through ongoing status and update dialogue., • Lead internal and external project management coordination work-sessions, record all information and compose meeting minutes to be disseminated among the design team, and ensure timely and accurate incorporation of the above mentioned., • Attend internal staff meetings and internal team work sessions with the project team to provide input on project schedules, project budgets, and technical input throughout project development., • Attend weekly OAC coordination meetings, and work sessions to ensure project delivery and coordination on a day-to-day basis. Report to the Director, Design the status of all project progress, daily business operations, schedules, and deliverables., • During the construction administration phase, manage and support the design team with on-site field reviews and/or inspections of custom furniture and fixtures to ensure the installation meets the design intent and quality standards established by Wynn Design & Development., • During the construction administration phase, manage, review, and track all project submittals, shop drawings, and RFI’s, coordinating with the project teams to ensure timely and accurate responses. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Required: • Bachelors/Professional degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Construction or Project Management from an accredited academic institution, • Minimum of 8-12 years of design and/or project management and/or experience with leading design teams, including a minimum of 5-7 years of experience in significant hospitality and/or entertainment-related design projects, • Must have recently completed (with-in the past 24 months) significant resort hospitality projects through construction administration with field and project closeout experience, • Previous experience working within a design firm as a Sr. Designer, Project Manager, or Director of Design, • International project and/or client experience within the past three years, • Four and/or Five Star resort hospitality or residential experience, • Strong previous peer consultant relationships based on successful project experience and trust, • NCARB Architectural registration and/or NCIDQ Interior Design accreditation, • Comprehensive experience and understanding of the entire project process from concept to completion and have seasoned experience in working with peer consultants of world-class reputation., • Familiarity or working knowledge of AutoCAD and AutoCAD Architecture 2018. (experience with the 2020 versions preferred), • Computer Graphic skills, such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, In-Design, Premiere Pro, etc., • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, and current Windows operating systems (Office 365 preferred), • Familiarity or working knowledge of Sketch-Up or other 3D modeling/massing software, • Experience working within database systems, • Working knowledge of project management software (Microsoft Project, Procore, Primavera.), • Ability to work in a creative, collaborative, entrepreneurial, and fast-paced team environment., • Ability to approach all tasks with proactive thinking and a comprehensive plan of action., • Must be self-motivated, self-directed, and possess strong leadership qualities., • Must have an excellent personal presentation and possess the necessary skills and attributes to represent the qualitative character of WDD in all forms of communication and representation., • Must be an articulate and effective communicator with the ability to direct and coordinate the work of others., • Must be design sensitive, have finely tuned aesthetic sensibilities, and have a broad design vocabulary in order to support high-profile clients, high-caliber design teams, and high-end design projects with exceptional attention to detail., • Must be able to comprehend and review hotel operations program narratives, must understand fundamentals of space planning and adjacencies, and must be able to ensure adherence to overall program parameters as defined by the CCO., • Must be able to communicate visually through excellent drawing ability, illustration, and descriptive writing., • Industry knowledge and awareness of design processes, procedures supporting world-class/leaders in design and innovation. Ability to read, comprehend, and compose complex instructions, correspondence, and memorandum. Ability to author correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to wide-ranging audience types. Consistently demonstrate active listening. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide with the accuracy necessary to understand and coordinate complex technical documents and specifications as part of the design, documentation, and construction process. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple and complex instructions. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Essential duties for this position include but are not limited to the following: able to work within a variety of climates. Safely lift and/or move up to thirty (30) pounds on occasions as well as sit for up to 90% of the workday. Repetitive bending, kneeling, stooping, pushing and pulling will potentially be required throughout the shift and exposed to potentially hazardous conditions. WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those a team member encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. When on a project site, the noise level increases too loud. When on a project site, team members are required to comply with all contractor-imposed safety procedures. Due to changes within the design and development process, nature of the design industry, team members must be able to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the company. Extensive travel will be intermittent and requires the team member to have the necessary documentation to enable international travel.
