Job DescriptionIndustrial Maintenance Technician Location: Buffalo, NY. Shift: First shift, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Pay: $30.00–$35.00 per hour, plus performance bonuses. Travel: Approximately 25 percent. About the Role This position is for an experienced industrial technician or millwright who wants more ownership of their work. You will handle hands‑on mechanical tasks while also working directly with customers and managing jobs from start to finish. You’ll install, service, and repair conveyor belt systems and rubber components at customer sites and in the shop. You’ll also be the main point of contact during jobs, making sure work is done safely, correctly, and on schedule. This role suits someone who is confident in the field, comfortable making decisions on the job, and able to represent the company professionally with customers. Why This Role • Pay range of $30.00–$35.00 per hour based on experience., • Bonus opportunities tied to performance., • Full benefits package including medical, dental, and vision coverage., • 401(k) with company match., • Paid time off and paid holidays., • Overtime opportunities available., • Relocation assistance when applicable., • Long‑term growth potential with training and advancement opportunities.Job Responsibilities, • Install lightweight and heavyweight conveyor belt systems., • Fabricate, splice, vulcanize, install, and repair conveyor belts and rubber products., • Diagnose mechanical issues and complete repairs efficiently., • Work directly with customers to review job requirements, timelines, and site conditions., • Customize conveyor solutions to meet client specifications., • Receive, check, and manage parts and materials inventory., • Prepare sales orders and stage materials for upcoming jobs., • Pick up and deliver parts, tools, and equipment as needed., • Travel to customer sites for installation and service work, approximately 25 percent of the time., • Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow all safety standards.Qualifications, • Experience as a millwright, industrial maintenance technician, or mechanic., • Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills., • Ability to lift 50 to 75 pounds and work in physically demanding conditions., • Comfortable working independently and managing tasks on‑site., • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass a DOT physical., • Willingness to travel and work overtime or weekends when needed., • Strong communication skills for working directly with customers., • High school diploma or equivalent.Preferred Skills, • Conveyor belt splicing and vulanizing experience., • Inventory and material handling experience., • Electrical troubleshooting ability., • Mechanical and electrical assembly skills., • Experience using precision measuring tools., • Attention to detail with a focus on quality and efficiency.Work Environment, • Non‑climate‑controlled shop and warehouse setting., • Small, experienced team of three to four technicians., • Use of industrial tools, machinery, and loading dock equipment., • Combination of shop work and field service., • First‑shift schedule with periodic travel to customer sites.
