JOB MISSION The Data Technical Lead ensures the successful technical design, implementation, and quality assurance of data solutions within a specific business domain. This role bridges enterprise data architecture and operational delivery, ensuring that data initiatives are well‑designed, properly implemented, scalable, and aligned with business needs. The Data Technical Lead is responsible for the technical design, implementation, and quality control of data solutions within the domain, including the evolution of the Data Lake built on Medallion architecture principles. KEY RESPONSABILITIES • Architecture & Design: Lead technical design of data solutions on Azure / Microsoft Fabric, defining Medallion architecture (Bronze / Silver / Gold), Spark processing patterns, and scalable SQL data models aligned with enterprise architecture., • Data Governance Enablement: Ensure data governance standards through architectural alignment, Medallion design, and robust technical frameworks., • Platform & Tools: Oversee implementation of data pipelines using Spark and SQL, manage Lakehouse structures, optimize performance, and ensure integration with legacy tools (SSIS, cubes)., • Data Quality & Controls: Define and monitor data quality metrics, ensure compliance (e.g., SOX), and validate consistency of data ingested from SAP S/4HANA and other ERP systems., • Continuous Improvement: Identify architectural and process improvements to enhance performance, scalability, and cost efficiency of the Fabric platform., • Technical Leadership & Vendor Oversight: Review code (Spark, SQL), validate technical design decisions, supervise external vendors, and ensure sustainable knowledge transfer., • Guidance: Drive compliance with established standards and metrics; communicate and enforce data policies, rules, and governance requirements. EDUCATIONAL AND SPECIFIC TRAINING REQUIREMENTS • Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline, • English proficiency required; medium French level valuable, • Senior expertise in Azure cloud data platforms and modern architectures (Microsoft Fabric, Data Lake, Medallion), • Strong hands‑on experience with SQL, Power BI, SSIS, and multidimensional/tabular models (cubes), • Ability to work across modern cloud environments and legacy BI ecosystems, • Solid understanding of ERP systems (SAP MM, MRP, SD) and enterprise data flows, • Ability to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions while balancing priorities and constraints, • Strong credibility with senior stakeholders; ability to lead and coordinate external vendors, • FMCG industry experience is a plus AREAS OF EXPERTISE & YEARS OF EXPERIENCE (Short Version) • 7–10 years of experience in Data Engineering, BI, or Data Architecture, • Strong hands-on experience with Azure data platforms (Fabric, Data Lake, Medallion), • Advanced skills in SQL, Spark, Power BI, SSIS, and tabular/multidimensional models, • Experience working with ERP data, especially SAP (MM, MRP, SD), • Proven technical leadership and vendor coordination, • Experience in FMCG environments is a plus PERFORMANCE INDICATORS • Demonstrated senior expertise in Azure data platforms, Microsoft Fabric, Data Lake, and Medallion architecture, • Proven experience delivering large‑scale data platforms using Spark and advanced SQL, • Strong hands‑on capability with Power BI, SSIS, and multidimensional/tabular models, • Ability to integrate cloud and legacy BI ecosystems effectively, • Strong understanding of SAP (MM, MRP, SD) data flows, • Technical leadership translating business needs into scalable solutions, • Effective coordination and oversight of external vendors MAIN COMPETENCIES (ECCBC Competencies) • Drive for Results, • Cross‑Cultural Mindset, • Engagement, • Strategic Thinking, • Leadership for Change, • Teamwork FUNCTIONAL & TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES • Understanding of existing technology architecture, • Ability to assess data‑related changes for technological impact, • Knowledge of business rules used to populate data, • Strong process mindset and excellent root cause analysis, • Experience with metrics gathering, tracking, and reporting Percentage of Travel Required • Around 20% Internal Departments Interaction • HQ Employees and HQ Managers, • Country Managers, • Department Heads in Countries External (Customers / Vendors) Interactions • Providers, • Third‑party customers, • Offshore customers
